PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter includes the presentation, analysis, and interpretation of

data gathered. The sequence of the discussion for this chapter is based on

how the problems are set in chapter one.

The data results shows that the overall mean is 3.21 with the adjective

neither agree. On the other hand, the highest mean is 3.36 with the adjective

neither agree of the question ‘I want to visit and enjoy the plantation view’

which resulted to the students not being sure about whether the question

highly affects. 3.7 has the lowest mean with the adjective of neither agree

and a question of ‘tourism increase drugs and alcohol’ which resulted to the

students not thoroughly sure if the reason to increase of drugs and alcohol is

tourism.

Table 4.1 The table above shows the result of the data that has been

gathered through questionnaire.

The results reveal that the students neither agree on the preferences

and possible impact of tourism to them as part of the community.

The findings shows that tourism can both positively and negatively

impact the community. Furthermore, a study by Maguigad (2013) states that

tourism has been a cornerstone of the economy since the 1970s. Tourism has

been pursued as an alternative pertaining to tourism continuing to flourish as

a growth engine over the last two years. Moreover, It is a common belief

that the requirements and interests of foreign visitors determines the

creation and regulations of tourism (Chang, 1999).

CHAPTER 5

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents a summary of the study including the findings,

the conclusions drawn from the findings, and the researcher’s

recommendations.

Summary

The research titled "Tourism Activities in Tandag City" provides a

comprehensive overview and analysis of the various tourism activities

available in Tandag City Using a descriptive method. The chapter explores

the different attractions, events, and experiences that attract tourists to the

city, highlighting their significance in promoting tourism and contributing to

the local economy.

Findings

The following findings are obtained based on the analysis and

interpretation of data.

The following findings are obtained based on the analysis and

interpretation of the data: The students neither agree of the survey

questionnaire which indicates that they find the tourism in Tandag City

positively and negatively affects the community.

Students’ neither agree in each of the indicators: The data results

shows that most of the students are not sure on whether the questionnaire

contributes to the community.

Conclusion

The study revealed that tourism in Tandag neither affects the

community.

Based on the survey questionnaire results, it can be concluded that the

participants' opinions regarding tourism in Tandag City are divided, with a

neither agree nor disagree response. This suggests that there is no clear

consensus among the respondents regarding the impact or importance of

tourism in Tandag City.

Recommendations

Based on the research findings, the following recommendations are

proposed to enhance tourism activities in Tandag City.

1. Enhance tourist experiences: Develop tour packages and itineraries

that showcase the diversity of Tandag City's tourism offerings. This could

include adventure tours, cultural immersions, and eco-tourism activities.

Collaborate with local communities to provide authentic and meaningful

experiences for visitors, while also supporting sustainable tourism practices.

2. Strengthen tourism governance: Establish a dedicated tourism

office or authority to oversee the planning, development, and management

of tourism activities in Tandag City. This entity should collaborate closely

with relevant stakeholders to ensure the sustainable growth of the tourism

sector. Regular training and capacity-building programs should be conducted

to enhance the skills of tourism service providers and foster a culture of

hospitality and professionalism.

3. Strengthen marketing and promotion: Collaborate with tourism

comprehensive marketing strategy that highlights Tandag City's unique

attractions. Utilize various platforms, including social media, websites, and

travel agencies, to increase awareness and attract a wider audience. Engage

with influencers and travel bloggers to showcase the city's beauty and

encourage visitation.
