Reflection, especially in academic or professional contexts, is a process of thinking critically about

experiences, decisions, or knowledge to gain a deeper understanding or to inform future actions. The
content of reflection can vary widely depending on the context, but generally, it includes:

Description: This involves giving a detailed account of an experience, event, or situation. This is the
"what happened?" aspect of reflection.

Feelings and Emotions: This explores the emotional response to the event or situation. It answers,
"How did I feel about what happened?"

Evaluation: This involves considering the good and the bad aspects of the experience. "What went
well, and what didn't?"

Analysis: This involves breaking the experience down to understand it more deeply. It seeks to
understand why things happened the way they did and the underlying processes or theories that
might explain the experience.

Conclusions: Based on the reflection, one might conclude what they learned from the experience
and what they might have done differently.

Action Plan: This involves deciding what changes one might make based on their reflections. It
answers, "What will I do differently next time?"

Connections: It can also involve relating current experiences to past ones, to theories, to readings, or
other forms of knowledge.

Questions: Posing further questions that arise from the reflection, things one is still curious about or
feels uncertain about.

Application: Reflecting on how the experience or the derived knowledge will be applied in future
similar and different situations.

The content of reflection can be used in multiple domains, including education, professional
development, personal growth, or therapeutic contexts. It's a means to develop self-awareness,
critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
 Use simple English language.
 Use the text that is based on your level of understanding.
 Do not state the obvious unless not discussed.
 Choose words not to impress but to express.
 If you cannot state the word, describe the word through citing experience and personal
understanding.
 I am good with using Google Docs (thank you for that 😊), but use the reply button.
 Do not just write and submit; review until satisfaction met.
