1.What is the main distinction between the primary source and secondary source ?
Primary sources can be described as those sources that are closest to the origin of the information.
Secondary sources often use generalizations, analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of primary
sources. Examples of secondary sources include textbooks, articles, and reference books.
2.Why is primary source important in the study of history ?
Historians value primary sources because they provide insight into how historical characters
processed and internalized their experiences ,as well as their place and significance in
history .they also provide historians with a knowledge of historical figures’ viewpoints.
3.What is the purpose of a secondary source?
The goal of the secondary sources is to interpret or explain the significance of primary sources’
material .Secondary sources can help you earn more about a person’s biography and the
circumstances around a historical event.
4. At present ,How do you discriminate between contradicting reports of a single event from
different sources?
Coverage. You will also want to examine the content of the source and how it fits your information
needs. Identify its relevancy to your topic and whether or not it addresses the subject matter. Also,
make sure it provides enough information if you are looking for a source that discusses the matter
in-depth. Additionally, determine if the site provides all the data you may need. For example, if you
need to include graphs or charts in your paper, try to find a source that provides these.
5. Why should official records of the government be made accessible to the public?
Allowing citizens to request and obtain public documents is an important instrument for
combating corruption, allowing citizens to more completely engage in public life, improving
government efficiency ,stimulating investment ,and assisting individuals in exercising their
fundamental human rights.
