Summary: Cera and Andy are childhood friends from Oyo at the age of 18 years old. They both
like to hang out together most of the time and discover interesting things. Until the day where
they both strayed off their path of interests. Cera’s mother passed away which causes him to
take the wrong path after his father became abusive towards him. On the other hand, Andy
decided to pursue her interest in criminology and tried to get Cera with her on her path. Cera
apologized and didn’t follow Andy after all so they strayed off each other. Years passed, events
happen and Cera is now one of the official members of his group at the lowest term. While Andy
became a private investigator. Cera’s boss shot him due to a1llegations and caused a crime
scene that is now currently being investigated by Andy.

Scene 1:
Si Cera at si Andy ay magkaibigan. Isang araw, habang si Andy ay nagsusulat at si Cera ay
naglalaro sa tabi niya. Biglang may pumasok sa isipan ni Andy at tinanong nya si Cera.
Andy: Ah oo nga pala, nagtanong si mama kung ano daw gusto ko maging paglaki. Sinabi ko na
ano, gusto ko maging detective
Cera: Ako naman, gusto ko maging pulis, kagaya ng tatay ko.
Andy: Mas interesado kasi ako sa parang detective na trabaho
Cera: Ah, pwede naman yun pulis pati detective, at ano ba tawag doon? Forensic investigator?
Andy: Oo yun, tapos aasikasuhin ko lahat ng mga kaso na kukunin mo no?
Cera: Oo ganun!

The bell rings during their conversation and they went on ahead (To the next scene)

Scene 2:
Sa kanilang paguwi,
Cera: “Ahh, di ko na maisip gagawin natin sa research”
Andy: “Eh, ayaw mo kausapin kagrupo mo?”
Cera: “Di naman kasi nakik-(Interrupt phone call)inig mga kagrupo ko sakin.

Cera: Hello ma?

The opposing stage opens and reveals the inside of the office with Eljay on her phone and her
head sideways for the call.

Eljay: Hello nak, may ginagawa ka ba?

Cera: pauwi palang kami ni Andy
Andy: Hello tita
Cera: Shhh.
Eljay: Daan ka muna dito sa office, may kukunin ka lang dito. Sama mo narin si Andy kung
gusto nya
Cera looks at his friend
Cera: sama ka?
Andy: ge arat

Close curtains

Scene 3:
Patuloy paring naguusap si Cera at Andy habang naglalakad
Cera: Ano ba tawag doon? Yung parang naghahanap ng fingerprint?
Andy: Eh? Detective lang alam ko eh.
Nang biglang, (Boom sound; Siren noises), nakarinig sila ng malakas na pagsabog.

Cera: Ma…?

Cera continues to stare at the building in dread. Same as Andy, but Cera started walking slowly
towards the building, only to be stopped by a rescuer

Rescuer: A- Ahhh. Sorry bawal po pumasok, baka may mangyari pang masama sa inyo.
Cera: MA…!
Rescuer: Sir-

Curtains closes and a last shout for hope can be heard from Cera.

Scene 4:
The stage opens to a hospital environment where Cera is following a hospital bed with a corpse
covered in sheets.

Cera: Mama… gumising ka!

The employees continued strolling the bed until the main door where Cera isn’t allowed to go
inside anymore.

Nurse: Bawal na po pumasok dito, hintayin Ninyo nalang po na matapos ang operasyon
Cera: Ha? Nanay ko yun!
Nurse: Bawal na po talaga sir, sorry po...

Cera stood in silence and stared at the nurse for a bit before trying to peek at the window for her
mother. He soon gave up on seeing her and decided to wait on the waiting room chair thingy
where Andy approached him and sat beside him while also looking like in despair.

Andy: *Sigh…* Paano na tayo nito?

Cera: Ha? *Cera says while looking at Andy
Andy: Sa bahay lang kami ni mama, si papa lang nagtatrabaho sa amin…
Cera: … *While doing a sitting pose that allows him to sleep while sitting (Parang ganun)*
Habang naghihintay,

Doctor: Nasaan po yung kamaganak ng pasyente

Cera looks at the doctor and slightly raises his hand up
Doctor: I’m sorry to say this, pero hindi na nakayanan ng nanay mo

Scene 5.1:
Habang sila’y kumakain, may ibinigay na papeles ang kaniyang ina.
Andy: ano to ma…? Emancipation…. letter?
Mother: … *takes out wallet*
Andy: ma…
Mother: *Takes out 2000 peso and hands it over to Andy; then takes a sip of his beer* lumayas
ka na.
Andy: *starts breathing heavily* nasa highsch-(interrupt) ool palang ako
Mother: 18 ka na diba… magtrabaho ka na, palamunin lang naman kayo dito ng tatay mo,
pareparehas lang kayo.
Andy: pa- patapusin mo muna ako ng highschool ma… *almost crying*
Mother: …
Andy: ma…
Mother: *stands up aggressively* ilang beses ko ba sasabihin sayo?! Gusto mo ata ulit masipa
ah ang kulit mong tang-

The Mother stops himself before saying the word and says, “umalis ka na. magtrabaho ka,
lumandi ka. Wala na akong pake sayo.” *She throws a pen towards Andy.

Close curtains and we hear the sound of a court hammer being smacked. second stage open.

Scene 5.2:
Habang nakaupo ang ama ni Cera, nakatingin siya sa litrato nilang pamilya. Pumasok si Cera at
umupo na may dalang pagkain.
While the two of them are eating. Cera was also staring at the family portrait that his father was
holding. But the father didn’t like this and took it aggressively, showing his messed up mental
state.

Father: anong tinitingin tingin mo dyan…

Cera: …
Father: sumagot ka!
Cera: hindi- hindi ako nakatingin sayo.
Father: *stands up aggressively and walks toward Cera to grab his ear* tingin ka ng tingin tapos
sasabihin mong hindi?! Ginagago mo ba ako?!
Cera: …

The father lets him go by aggressively swaying Cera’s head away and kicking his chair. While
the father walked away. He threw the family portrait towards Cera and Cera tries to block it with
his arms. Seconds later. We can hear a doorbell and Cera stands up to go check.

Curtains close as we hear Andy shout “Cera!”

Scene 6:
Nakaupo sa parke ang dalawa at pinaguusapan ang mga magiging plano at desisyon nila sa
buhay.
Andy: Ano balita?
Cera: Ayos lang? Basta ganun. Haha.
Andy: Ano yun? Anong ayos lang…? Ako kasi nakahanap na ng trabaho. eh kasi ba naman
pinapalayas na ko sa bahay.
Cera: anyare?
Andy: wala, ganun lang, tulad nung nakaraan. Pero natuluyan na talaga ngayon.
Cera: nnmm… saan ka na ngayon nagtatrabaho?
Andy: nakapasok ako doon sa lagi nating kinakainan.
Cera: sa may kanto?
Andy: Oo, yung karinderya nila Aling Mirna.
Cera: Edi sana all.
Both of them laugh
Cera: Ako kasi magdodrop na ko sa school
Andy: … Hala bakit?
Cera: kagaya lang din ng sayo. Pero sa bahay parin ako nakatira.
Andy: Di mo naman kailangan mag dropout talaga. Sayang naman 1 semester nalang
matatapos na tayo.
Cera: …

The two sat down in silence

Cera: sinali ako ng pinsan ko sa isang grupo. Doon daw kami kukuha ng pera.
Andy: … anong grupo...?
Cera: wala lang, parang may mga gagawin gawin lang kami na kung ano ano.
Andy: huy baka mapahamak ka dyan?
Cera; hindii naman. Parang may mga pinapaayos lang samin na mga packages. Isasama nga
dapat kita eh.
Andy: Sure ka ba na safe yan…?
Cera: Oo safe yun, pinsan ko naman yung nagsali sakin
Andy: Sure?
Cera: … *Looks at Andy*, sure nga yun.
Andy: sinisigurado ko lang naman eh-
Andy’s phone starts ringing and causes Andy to check her phone
Andy: ay mauna na pala ko sorry. Kailangan ko muna ayusin mga gamit ko.
Cera: sige sa susunod nalang. Tawagan mo nalang ako kung gusto mo sumama sa amin.
Andy: ge

The curtains close.

Scene 7:
Nahuli si Andy sa kaniyang pagpasok sa klase,
Teacher: Late ka nanaman
Andy: pasensya na po ma’am traffic po
Nang biglang mapansin ng kanyang guro na hindi na pumapasok si Cera.
Teacher: pumapasok pa ba si Cera? Cera… Gabriel? hindi ko na nakikita, wala naman binigay
na notice o kaya excuse letter man lang.

Andy is seen looking behind her to look at Cera’s seat

Teacher: wala talaga? hindi ko narin kasi makausap ang tatay nya. Temporarily dropped na sya
kasi marami na syang absent-

(School bell rings)

Teacher: kung may nakakaalam sa inyo sabihin nyo lang sa akin sa office. *leaves the class*

Everyone in the classroom started arranging their things. Meanwhile, Andy tries calling Cera on
her phone.

Cera: hello? Baket pit?

Andy: hindi ka na ba talaga papasok?
Cera: mmhm. Hindi na, okay na ako dito
Andy: parang MASlumalim boses mo.
Cera: talaga ba?
“Gab!” *a distant noise from Cera’s father can be heard* ah. Next time nalang ulit, may gagawin
pa ako.
Andy: magbigay ka ng formal letter na magdodrop ka na *while the second stage curtain was
closing*… Cera…? *Andy looks at her phone and clicks her tongue*

Andy starts arranging her bag as the curtains close

Scene 8:
Habang nagbubuhat si Cera ng mga pakete kasama ang kaniyang katrabaho, biglang siyang
nilapitan ng isang lalaki at sinabing.

The man: May order si boss sayo

Cera: Ah. Ano daw po yon?
The man: Eto, buksan mo nalang to paguwi mo. Mataas ang ineexpect sayo ni boss, wag mo
siyang biguin. (Walking away)
Cera: ah wait lang-

The man started walking away before Cera even finishes

Curtains closed and proceeding to the opposing stage.

At Cera’s home, he decided to open the box at the dinner table to see what’s inside. He opens
the box and takes out a gun and carefully inspects it.
Umuwi si Cera at napagisipan nyang buksan ang misteryong kahon sa hapag kainan upang
tignan ang nilalaman nito. Nang itong kaniyang binuksan, napagmasdan nya na ito ay isang.
(Cera takes out the gun from the box)

Cera: Luh! *Cera puts the gun down the table*

Cera’s father walks in drunk and sees Cera

Father: ano nanaman yang pinagbibibili mo.

Cera tries to cover the gun and the box: ahh wala wala, galing to sa ano… school
Father: school… ahh school… *while pointing and shaking his index finger at Cera.* *sips beer
and suddenly throws the can towards Cera*, Niloloko mo ba ko!? Ha?!
Cera: *Stares at him*
Father: anong tingin mo sakin? Bobo?! Nakarating sakin ang letter ng teacher mo, tapos iisip
isipin mo na di na ako magaling na tatay no haaaa!? “hindi ka makapag trabaho” ganun pagiisip
mo? Ha?!
Cera: *starts walking further away from his father.
Father: akin nayan. *Suddenly grabs knife*
Cera: pa...
Father: Sabing akin na yan! *Aggressively runs towards Cera*
Cera: *Pushes his father away* ano ba!
Father: *kicks the table away and continues walking towards Cera*
Cera: tama na!
Father: *continues walking* sabing akin na yan!
Cera takes the gun out of the box and points it at his father while his hand is shaking.
Father: *stops* o ano yan? Galing school bayan? Yan yung natututunan mo sa school nyo ha?!
Itatapat mo yung …. Baril na yan sa ama mo Ha?! Baka nakakalimutan mo na ako nagpalaki
sayo, nag pakain sayo? Nanamit sayo? Wala ka bang utang na loob?! *starts walking towards
cera and tries to grab the gun.
Cera: sabing tama na pa!
( *shoots the father using the gun while the father was trying to grab it*)

+nangangatog sa takot sic era ng makakita sya ng dugo+

Cera: Laughs nervously
Cera: Ah….. oh.. oh shit…

The father slowly falls down to the floor and bleeding. Cera just looks at his father dying and
took the box hurriedly in an attempt to run away.

Close curtains.

Scene 9:
Napagdesisyonan ni Cera na kailangan nyang gawin ang nakatala sa papel na nakalagay sa
kahon. At ito ay ang paslangin ang isa sa kanyang katrabaho na kumakalaban sa kanilang
organisasyon
Coworker: Ah gagi, ang hirap naman neto. Kunin mo nga ulit yung toolbox, sensya sa abala.
Cera: *grabs the toolbox and kicks it closer to his coworker*
Coworker: yan okay na ata. *Right after tinkling through the metal object*
Cera: Balita ko, may plano ka daw gawin dito sa organisasyon nato
Coworker: … kanino mo narinig?
Cera: wala…usap usapan lang.
Coworker looks around and then: mamaya ko sabihin sayo.
Cera: ano ba yung gagawin mo?
Coworker: mamaya na, pagkatapos ko dito
Cera: ano nga?
Coworker looks around again and then: halika na nga dito, sabihin ko na.

The coworker turns his back and starts to walk in a dark corner to try and talk to Cera quietly

Cera points his gun at his head while he turned his back. Cera shoots him in the head to finish
the mission he was told to do.
Close curtains.
