1st scene: (home)

When alfredo went home, he saw his things in the living room. The bra’s, Avon brochures, and
make-up. His things were scattered on the floor, he was so shocked to see all his things. But
alfredo need to act fool so that his wife won’t be suspicious about him.

Jianne (Emma): What’s this? Are you cheating on me? I did everything in this relationship. Why
do you need to find someone else?

Luis (Alfredo): Aaahhh… I can explain. Uhmm, wife it’s not what you think.

Jianne (Emma): Explain what Huh? You don’t need to explain. (Gi labay niya ang mga gamit)

Luis (Alfredo): Stop it, Emma! How can we talk if you keep on throwing things. I’m not
cheating on you. Those are your things!

Jianne (Emma): How dare you say it’s mine, I don’t wear pink bra’s also I don’t buy make-ups.

(Emma left alfredo in the living room, alfredo was stuck there thinking what he should do)

Jianne (Emma): I don’t even know how you got the audacity to bring your girl over our own
roof where our family is living! (gipanglabay niya ang ubang mga gamit) Do you see yourself?
Do you even feel what I feel?

Luis (Alfredo): Emma, please listen to me!

Jianne (Emma): No. Alfredo, you don’t understand! We are married! You shouldn’t have done
what you’ve done! (Emma runs to the living room pointing the pink clothes.)
Luis (Alfredo): It is not what you think it is! Please! (Grabs emma’s arm, pleading.)

Jianne (Emma): It’s not? What about this? (Throw Alfredo’s hands and grabs a panty) What
about this? This is already a proof of what dirtiness you’ve done in this house! (Points in anger at
Alfredo)

(Emma cries and all went silent, Alfredo then looks down at Emma)
Jianne (Emma): You are going to sleep at the couch tonight. I don’t want to oversee you again!
Better yet, you go off to your new girl!

Alfredo tried to console Emma but Emma was inconsolable. Alfredo slept in the living room
while Emma was crying in their room. Emma eventually fell asleep.

2nd Scene (Still Home)

Alfredo did not say a word to Emma as he went to his work. Emma then goes to her friend’s
house to tell what happened.

(Emma goes in Anna’s House, sits and tears up a little)

Cindy (Anna): (worried) Hey Emma, you look so tired. What happened?

Jianne (Emma): (tearing up sobbing) Alfredo is cheating on me! I found panties and make-up in
our room!

Cindy (Anna): You should have listened to me! I knew there was something wrong with this guy
(tsk tsk), I knew he was a red flag.

Jianne (Emma): What should I do now? I love him! We have a family together!

Cindy (Anna): You should break up with him!

Jianne (Emma): But we have kids!

Cindy (Anna): Oh yeah… Maybe you should calm down first.

Anna and Emma talked for hours. Hours later, Emma decided it is time to go home. She packed
her stuff, wiped her tears, and headed home.

Cindy (Anna): Emma be careful!

Jianne (Emma): I will be!

3rd Scene (streets going home)

Emma tried her best to not cry while walking but she ended up bursting into tears. She wipes her
tears repeatedly because tears kept coming and coming. In the middle of crying, she felt a tap on
her shoulder:

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): Hi ma’am, are you okay? I was roaming around when I saw you
crying.

Jianne (Emma): No! (sobs)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): What happened ma’am? (worried)

Jianne (Emma): (faces Cherry) I caught my husband cheating on me! I caught panties and
women’s accessories in our room when I was cleaning yesterday. I can’t look at his face knowing
he bought his girl in our own room where his children sleep! (sobs)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): I’m so sorry to hear that, Ma’am. Why don’t we go back to
your house to discuss this further and think of possible solutions? (Guides her step)
Jianne (Emma): Alright…..

NARRATOR: As Emma wipes her tears, Cherry the Social Worker made sure she won’t trip or
fall as Emma is leading her way.

4th Scene (At the house with the Social Worker)

Emma led her way back to their house as the social worker followed her. They entered, and as
they entered, they saw Alfredo, just got off his work. Alfredo was confused about who the social
worker was.

Luis (Alfredo): Honey… Who is this?

Jianne (Emma): This is Cherry, she is a social worker. She will help me of what to do with you
and your situation. (dead stare at Alfredo)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): (lifts her hand to shake hands with Alfredo) Good day sir. I am
a social worker. I saw your wife crying while walking back home and she had already told me
what happened.

Luis (Alfredo): You told a stranger what happened? How dare you? (becomes defensive and
mad)

Jianne (Emma): she is a social worker! She can help me! You the audacity to be scared after
what happened? Aren’t you ashamed? (Stands and keeps pointing Alfredo)

(Cherry stands between them)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): Let’s calm down, shall we? We should stalk calmly, so let us sit
this marriage counselor I know. Her name is Miss Maria. Here you go.

(Cherry gives them a piece of paper)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): I have already set an appointment with me; we will go there
tomorrow.

(Cherry stands up)

Althea (Cherry/Social worker): It is getting late. I should go now. I will go here tomorrow for
our appointment. See you!

(Cherry leaves the house. Once again, Alfredo slept is the couch and Emma slept alone in the
room.)

5th Scene (Counselors office)

Emma and Alfredo decided to call the counselor for an appointment.

Ericca (Ms. Maria): Good morning, Ms. Cherry, Miss Emma, and Mister Alfredo. I am Maria, a
marriage counselor, and it has come to my attention that you have problems with your marriage.
Cherry (points in a professional manner) that your relationship has happened to have a 3 rd party
problem. Do you mind telling me what happened?

(Emma stood straight and told Maria)

Jianne (Emma): When I was cleaning our room 2 days ago, I saw panties and women
accessories in his cabinet. They were different than mine! I don’t wear that kind of stuff that’s
why I say he’s cheating!

Luis (Alfredo): NO! that’s not what happened! The real reason why I have those because I want
to try something new…. it’s not from a women… they are mine!

Emma and counselor were speechless. They could not believe what they heard. Counselor Maria
cleared her throat to break the silence.

Ericca (Ms. Maria): I see… Thank you for telling us and making this clear for Ms. Emma here.

Ericca (Ms. Maria): Mister Alfredo, why didn’t you tell your Mrs. About your sexuality issue?

Luis (Alfredo): I was afraid she would not accept me… I love her so much but… I don’t know
who I am if I act like something I’m not…

Jianne (Emma): You know I always accept you for who you are.

Ericca (Ms. Maria): Alfredo, it is okay to feel that way. Say, did you tell anyone before about
this?

Luis (Alfredo): No….

Ericca (Ms. Maria): I know, Emma, this is new to you. So, I suggest that you keep on attending
marriage counselling. Until then, be honest with each other, especially you Alfredo. Your wife
did not need that much pain.

6th Scene (Maria’s Office)

NARRATOR’S PART ONLY:

Emma and Alfredo agreed to what the counselor suggested. They went to Maria’s Office once a
week for follow-up. (Here, Emma and Alfredo will go together in counselors office. They won’t
be a lovey-dovey type but friendly)

Both decided to keep the marriage for their children (diri musulpot si Althea, anak nila Emma)
but also deided to keep the relationship open so that Alfredo could be comfortable.

In sessions, Maria often ask how their family is doing with this situation involved. She asks if the
new setting is doing well with their family.

Maria asked the partner for their permission to post their session on articles so that partners who
are experiencing the same problem will know there are counselors and social workers willing to
help them with their situation.
