Coach : SSP - L4: Growth Mindset

What’s something you’ve been working on frequently lately?

My recent focus has been on practicing the piano, which has taken up a lot of my time. I've always
wanted to learn how to play numerous instruments, and one of those was the guitar. However, there is
no quick fix to learning, so up to this point, I'm still trying to master it.

What’s something you wish you could do better?

Balancing my time and saving money is something I wish I could do better. Due to all of my obligations as
a parent, student, and working student, it was actually challenging for me to manage my time. In light of
all of these, I don't believe that I have enough time to relax and take care of myself. And the only
opportunity I get is when I eat, which makes it difficult for me to save money for myself because I
constantly want to buy food because eating used to make me happy.

In the past week, what mistake did you make- big or small- that still irritates you?

The error I made last week, which can be categorized as either huge or little, was when I neglected to
pass or submit our activities on time. Up to this point, it has irritated me since it can be seen on
GoogleClassroom as criteria not being met. The fact that I was unable to submit it on time despite having
finished it earlier than the deadline is the reason it still frustrates me. Being so disappointed in myself
and knowing that even one mistake may hurt my grades makes it stressful for me. So, I made a self-
promise to never miss a deadline for submitting my needs.

If you know you wouldn’t fail, what would you do?

If I knew I wouldn't fail, I would play chess on an international stage so that everyone could see me
defeat my opponent. My hobby is playing chess, but due to my fear of failing, I haven't really been able
to show off my talent. But since I knew I wouldn't fail, I would absolutely grab the opportunity to
perform in front of a large crowd so I could show them everything I had to offer and still come out on top
since I wouldn't fail.
REFLECT

=To improve myself and to be able to do tasks in an orderly and proper manner, I would start modifying
my behaviors today. I'll manage my time, take regular breaks, set my own deadlines, plan and do things
ahead of time, but most importantly, I'll be healthy by changing my habits. While one can be a
productive student, without the healthy behaviors I've outlined, one can never be healthy and instead
only put undue pressure on themselves to complete tasks. I want to start changing my habits so that I
can take into account all the things that were bad for my study habits in the past and gradually get rid of
them as I get more organized and productive on my own time and schedule.

=Instead of wasting my time on activities that won't benefit me personally or as a student, I will... focus
more on things that are worthwhile and significant in order to improve. To improve, I'll get rid of things
that prevent me from becoming better. For instance, if I spend too much time scrolling on my phone's
screen rather than responding to emails or going over my notes, it would be better for me to at least
turn off my phone for an hour so that I can focus on studying instead because that is more crucial. I'm
going to start organizing and keeping track of all I need to do to get healthy.

=Since I don't want to feel unmotivated or overburdened with my workload, I'm trying my best to
improve as a student and be more productive than before. Additionally, I'm making an effort to organize
the vital items. Because I am aware that having a plan for what I'm going to do and when I'm going to do
it will ensure that I am always ahead of the game, or, to put it another way, that I always complete tasks
before the deadline. In addition, I'm trying my best to feel good about myself and confident about my
performance so that I won't feel insecure if

10. Balance study time and leisure time.

-Making a timetable that prioritizes both is one of the best ways to strike a balance between work and
play. Set aside time for learning as well as recreational pursuits like sports, exercise, and socializing.
