The deficient mobility in Monterrey can be improved by an efficient street planning.

The city of Monterrey is facing challenges in terms of mobility.The transport system
has been overwhelmed causing significant problems in urban mobility. The
population has grown exponentially the last years turning into a obstacle for the
transport system.Resulting in implications for the inhabitants themselves and their
quality of life.The key to reduce problems related to transportation depends on the
situation of the cit and they actual needs.

Mobility Problems are caused by poor street planning. This directly affects the
community of Monterrey that makes difficult to carry on their daily activities causing
a waste of time.The metropolitan area of Monterey as many cities of Mexico has
grown up in last years causing problems of road congestion. Those are produced
by over exploration of roads. One reason of that according to a book about urban
transport in monterrey explains that for lots of families groups the cost of the use of
automobile are low than the cost of collective transport. This is a result of the
principal element that is time travel because based of that families prefers to spend
money that time. some statistics of the source of transport services show that

there is a planning before street construction.

The transportation system is insufficient. Based on an article published by Urban

facing a crisis of mobility and public transportation. That needs to be resolved as
soon as possible to prevent social and economic harmful effects to the population.

sector has an impact of 30% on productivity caused by the lack of public transport.
Today, there are 2,700 units in service during the day but at peak times are
oversaturated. Also people who use their own vehicles are affected by the poor
condition of the avenues. In 2020 was defeated a 12% increase in car accidents.
Acording to a group of UANL experts concluded that the metropolitan area of
Monterrey is suffering exponential growth. Causing a centralization which
generates that the demand of mobilization exceeds the supply.That is the result of
a insufficient system and can be improve with more units of public transport.

Transit problems are related to traffic and street flooding.Monterrey is located

between the 10 cities in the global Traffic ranking.Acording to this Monterrey
registered 116 hours about travel time last year.Those numbers indicates that
principal routes just generates traffic jams.Traffic problems in Nuevo Leon are due
to potholes.Potholes are caused when the water keeps in a specific place. Also is
related to pollution of the soil.Because when the drainage system is obstructed by
trash cause flooding. Which improves that the water seeps through the pavement
creating craks. These cracks produce unevenness that can damage vehicles. The
solution to these problems are a better design for avenues according to needs. The
use of alternative routes would reduce road congestion.That is the reason that
bums cause traffic problems in the city.
