At around 9:50 am School Heads and Master Teachers from various schools
visited the session. They concurred with the suggestion of modifying the Lesson
PowerPoint since the NLC teachers were the one who crafted it.
Lesson 24

Areas for improvement and suggestions

1. In the Lesson Activity, the lessons should be presented with pictures. Like for
instance, placing a picture of a human measuring an object. Furthermore,
placing gif on cooling process is essential to enhance the lesson
comprehension of learners.

After the presentation of the lesson powerpoint, the group suggested having
a breakaway session to emphasize the learning needs of learners based on their
grade level. The following are the narratives of the discussion during Grade 8 NLC
Science Teachers

The break away session starts at 9:30 am, the presenter for the lesson 19-21
is Maam Afrail Mae B. Sintos. Lesson 19 was presented well since she included
pictures of the unfamiliar plants and animals in order for the learners to identify.
In presenting lesson 20, Sir Karl Owen Fernandez suggested to for slides
wherein the primary producers will be presented first followed by the 1st order
consumer, 2nd order consumer, and the 3rd order consumer will be the last. And
there is no more suggestion and correction for the lesson 21 presentation. The
breakaway session of grade 8 ended at 10:00 am since the next presenter
encountered some technical problems with her presentation and decided to present
the remaining lesson on monday for next week's discussion.

Thereafter, Sir Randy Porras presented the following keypoints that should
be remembered during the implementation of National Learning Camp. These are
the following:

1. He stress on the importance of adhering to D.O. no. 14, s.2023 which is

the completion of duty for the whole day. Furthermore, as reported by the
monitoring team from the Region, teachers there were some teachers that
are not observing completion of duty as stipulated in the said DepEd order.
2. He also highlighted that teachers assigned in National Learning Camp
implementation should not be given any other task (eg., Brigada Eskwela,
EOSY, and etc.)
3. He discussed about the strict compliance on the structured time in every
class session.
4. He also reminded the group to comply all the needed documentations
during the NLC implementation. Which includes, all lesson plans, progress
chart, attendance, student output etc.

Aside from the issues and concerns about NLC Sir Randy Porras also
suggested to the Science teachers that when you are planning to pursue Masters
degree or Doctorate Degree, it should be vertically aligned with your areas of
specialization (eg., MAT-Science). However, if you planned to pursue administrative
positions Masters or Doctorate Degree relating to Educational Management is the
appropriate choice.
