II. Project Summary

The proposed project shall be called: Project TURO (Teaching

Unmastered competencies to Reach Outstanding learning-outcome): A
Quest for Outstanding Demonstration Teacher. This project is
under the Project PRIDE of the same proponent, but this will focus on
the showcasing of different best practices of the teachers in teaching
different unmastered competencies in their subject matter to attain a
high quality of learning outcome of the students. This will be the best
avenue also for all the teachers to adapt to the best teaching styles,
strategies, and classroom management of the demonstration teachers.

III. Project Background

Teacher serves as the frontliner of the Department of Education in

delivering quality education to the learners. As stated in the DepEd Order
No. 36, s. 2013-teachers play an important role in nation-building. Through
quality teachers, our country can develop holistic learners who are steeped in

values, equipped with 21st skills, and able to propel the country to
development and progress even in this time of pandemic. This linked with the
Department of Education’s vision of producing: “Filipinos who passionately
love their country and whose values and competencies enable to realize
their full potential and contribute meaningfully to building the nation”.

As the Department of Education is piloting for the limited face-to-face

classes, Fe del Mundo National High School is also gearing up to re-activate
the skills, teaching strategies and styles of the teachers during the classroom
teaching. To realize and execute this mantra, teachers shall always embrace
excellence in delivering quality learning outcome to the learners. This project
will boost the teachers’ ability and creativity to write their lesson plans,
activities, and their art of executing unmastered lessons to their students.

In consonance with the DepEd Order No. 9,s 2002-Establishing the

Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE),
which aims to encourage, recognize and reward employees, individually or in
groups -for their suggestions, innovative ideas, inventions, discoveries,
superior accomplishments, heroic deeds, exemplary behavior, extraordinary
acts or services in the public interest and other personal efforts contributing to
efficiency, economy, and improvement in government operations which lead
to organizational productivity, Fe Del Mundo National High School will
launch Project TURO (Teaching Unmastered competencies to Reach
Outstanding learning-outcome): A Quest for outstanding Demonstration
Teacher under the Project PRIDE to immortalize this DepEd Order to the
teaching personnel of the school.

1. Demonstrate the best teaching practices of teachers in
teaching unmastered competencies;
2. Enhance teachers’ skill in demonstrating their lessons;
3. Re-activate the skills of teachers in teaching during face-to-
face classroom set-up;
4. Produce quality lesson plans for unmastered competencies;
5. Provide learning activities suited for the diverse learners;
6. Compile different slide decks for Curriculum and Instruction
of the SBM;
7. Provide technical assistance to the demonstration teachers;
and
8. Give credits to the demonstration teacher that can be used
for promotion.

V. PROJECT OUTPUTS AND OUTCOME

This project expected outcome/output will be the following;

OUTPUT:
a. Quality lesson plans of unmastered competencies of different
subjects;
b. Quality learning activities of unmastered competencies of different
subjects;
c. Quality portfolio of slide decks as documents for Curriculum; and
Instruction of the SBM.

OUTCOME:

a. performance of the teachers that will be reflected on their IPCRF;

b. performance of the school reflected on the SBM,
c. performance of the school administrators;
d. the quality of projects implemented by the school; and
e. quality of graduates of the school.

1. Master Teachers are obliged to participate in this project; and
2. Each department in the JHS and SHS should have 1 T-III
representative in category 1, for JHS and SHS.

1. Demonstrators should follow all the criteria used for Distinguished
teachers as reflected in the RPMS-PPST; and
2. Master Teachers should submit their lesson plans to the school head
and the Teacher III should submit their lesson plans to their assigned
monitoring head;

The conduct of demonstration teaching will be participated by the
teachers of Fe del Mundo National High following the health protocols
mandated by the DOH, IATF, and the Department of Education.

VIII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

School Head together with the Head Teachers and other personnel in the
administration office will conduct the monitoring and evaluation of this
project year-round especially its impact to the performances of each
teacher and its aids to the over-all performance of the school that is
reflected in the School Based Management.
