Empowering Educators to Foster Career Success and Learner’s Academic Ease Amidst Pandemic

II. Program Brief Description:

On today’s context of the Philippine Education, it is undeniably true that we are facing several pressing issues that need to be urgently addressed. One of these is the
uncharted journey to new normal teaching and learning strategies. DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones, in collaboration with the Executive and Management
Committees, has been closely monitoring the delivery of basic education services in the public schools since the start of classes on October 5, 2020. She said because of
some key challenges, there is a need to recalibrate the strategy to help both the teachers and learners.

In line with the provision of D.O. 12 s, 2020 on the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), our school, BNHS Gawaran Annex will conduct a 4-Days
INSET on the said DepEd order. Usec San Antonio also explained the need to adjust the assigned tasks for the learners is anchored on the fact that learners have been
disengaged from academic learning since the onset of the pandemic last March 2020. Moreover, this will help teachers to be more empowered, and help manage their time to
accommodate diverse learners. Teachers should have various skills, knowledge, and trainings with relevance to the flexibility in teaching and learning. He also stressed on
the burden of learning through multiple distance learning modalities offered by DepEd.

Dear Madame,

Greetings!

In response to the demands brought about by the pandemic, Bacoor National High School-Gawaran
Annex intends to conduct a 3 – Day INSET Training Program entitled “Empowering Educators to
Foster Career Success and Learner’s Academic Ease Amidst Pandemic”. This is to foster
empowerment both teachers and learners because the need of Learning Tasks adjustment arises
from the undeniable fact that some learners had been disengaged in their normal academic effort as
an offspring of the pandemic. Moreover, this will help teachers to be more empowered and help
manage their time to accommodate diverse learners.
In the conduct of this initiative, the training is proposed to take place on March 17-19, 2021.
Hoping for your positive response and support. Thank you and God bless!

Respectfully yours,

ROWENA PERLITA N. VELASQUEZ
