Rationale Per Division memorandum no. 5, s. 2022 re: SCHOOL-BASED
IN SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS SY 2021-
2022, the schedule for 4-day In-Service-Training (INSET) shall be on
February 2-5, 2022.

This four-day in-service training shall be conducted to evaluate

the school’s progress attained in the implementation of the
educational programs, projects and activities, and as well as to review
the performance the teachers and the school staff in order to address
concerns through collaborative effort, and for the teachers continued
professional development and the preparation of their instructional
materials.

 The first three days of the training shall be spent to discuss
topics relevant to the needs of the teachers to improve school
performance. The morning of the third day (February 4, 2022, Friday)
shall be utilized for the wellness program with the “Galaw Pilipinas”
and in the afternoon for the meeting/planning conference per school.
Teachers shall no longer report to the school on February 5, 2022.

The topics to be discussed in this training are as follows: a.

Table of Specification Preparation, Item Analysis-Alignment of the Test
Item; b. Interim Guidelines in Grading System; c. Using ICT in
Teaching in the New Normal Settings; d. Dressing like a Professional
(Dress Code of Ethics) e. Teaching Music (Refresher Course); f.
Teaching in the New Normal: Maximizing the use of Online Platforms;
g. Action Research, Project Proposal Format and The Basic
Preparation; and h. Guidelines on the Opening of Limited Face to Face
Classes. These topics were exquisitely identified during planning
conference of the school heads for INSET. The topics were relevant to
needs of the teachers this time of pandemic to improve their personal
growth and development as well as their teaching skills to improve
their school performance and the academic performance of the pupils
as well.

The facilitators of the training are Master Teachers and

selected Teachers coming from the different schools of the district.

The participants of this cluster-based training are the teachers

of Sipaya Elementary School and Sangkayon Elementary School. It
composed of 2 school heads, 17 teachers and 2 volunteer teachers.

The schedule of the training is on February 2 - 5, 2022 at

Bacolod Elementary School, Bacolod, Juban, Sorsogon.

Objectives By the end of the program, participants will be able to skilfully

prepare table of specification, item analysis aligned to the test items;
use and manipulate ICT in teaching in the new normal settings; to
update of interim guidelines for assessment and grading in light of the
basic education learning continuity plan; learn the code of ethics of
proper dress code of a professional ; learn and refresh teaching
strategies in teaching music subject; maximize the use of online
platform in teaching in the new normal of education; learn the format of
project proposal and basic preparation in conducting/making action
research; and know the guidelines in preparation of limited face to face
classes.
Specific Objectives:

 To skilfully prepare table of specification, item analysis aligned

to the test items.

assessment and grading in light of the basic education learning
continuity plan.
