I. INTRODUCTION

"Reading is fun" is absolutely only for those who found the magical tale of reading with
practice and mastery from grade one to the highest elementary level. But this becomes
impossible upon the rapid spread of covid-19 in which the learners were deprived of a quality
face-to-face approach Instead, the Dept. of Education initiated modular and virtual learning
making those children thirst for an actual teaching-learning process and an experience to be
in a class with their peers enjoying to read with absolute fun.

The Master Teacher/Coordinator of the school's reading program and activities in the person
of Mrs. Jesusa O. Claros aimed to revive the love and spirit of reading which at first will
supposedly start only in her advisory class Grade Il-Courage. One of her pupils, Queen Mary
Drynyl F. Silubrico happened to be the grandchild of the volunteer reading teacher. In the
process of retrieval and returning modules, the idea of launching a remedial and enhancement
class of slow, non-readers and even good readers of Grade II-Courage will be put into
Realization. The class will start on the second quarter of the school year, to be exact on
October 25, 2021 until Dec. 19, 2021 at the school stage for the time being that the reading
clinic is not yet prepared following health protocols such as wearing face mask and observing
social distancing. In the event of the conduct of this reading class, Mrs. Claros thought of
expanding the reading program to other grade levels to be sure there'll be no more non-reader
in other grades so that the advocacy-making every child a reader will be realized.

School year 2021-2022 is having limited access to oral reading exercises due to pandemic
restrictions therefore the school's reading program in charge thought of an activity to address
the reading problem of some grade II school children and extending even to other grade
levels with reading problems. This program would be a whole school year activity starting
with Grade II - Courage- Grade VI. The stakeholder/ partner will come to school for her
classes on Tuesdays- Fridays @ 9:00am - 11:00am respectively. This reading class will
utilize the Reading Clinic or the Reading Park depending on the activity. For a start, classes
will be temporarily held at the stage's covered court with the learners 4f from Mrs. Claros'
class, 2 from the class of Mrs. Clerigo, and another 2, from the class of Mrs. Cruz. Even the
face-to-face class has not been implemented yet, these children are prepared to be good
readers and make their learnings better. Time Frame of the Program for SY 2021-2022 Oct
25, 2021 - December 19, 2021 Grade II January 2022 - Grade III Non-readers February 2022

The school provided a Reading Clinic for this reading program aside from the Reading Park
that the children could utilize for any reading activities. Since the said reading venues are
