Are Cell Phones Safe regarding their Radiations?

In the contemporary world, the cellphone, without doubt, has become an integral part of

human lives. However, the cellphone is a cradle of radiation specifically the radio frequency

waves. The insistent growth of cellphone usage has resulted to abundant studies to determine the

impact of the radiation cell phones emits on human health. The effect of this radiation on human

health has been researched for some years. Most of the previous studies have focused more on

individuals who work on cellular towers and specialized transmission centers. As a result of

inadequate studies on the effect of radiation on human health, it still endures being a hotly

debated issue. Studies to conclusively settle this matter are long term and therefore the

preliminary studies ought to be taken to account. The health impacts of radiations on human

health are normally dire. Even though there is no official statement on the impact of radiation

from cell phones on human health, it is necessary to assume cell radiation of any form is not safe

not safe. Consequently, the paper attempts to evaluate whether the radiation emitted from cell

phones is indeed safe to humans.

Presently, a number of the existing studies do not point out substantial impacts stemming

radiation emitted from cell phones. On the other hand, some studies warn individuals who use

cellphones observant on the amount of time spent on cell phones (Davis et al. 2013). A study by

Davis et al. (2013) points out that radiation of any form are detrimental to the human body.

Preliminary studies and data suggests cell radiation is a risk factor to cancer. Cancer which is

typically linked to radiation has a possible 15 to 35-year dormant period of development (Davis

et al. 2013). Researchers are yet to conclusively comprehend the impact of the radiation from

cell phones (Kesari et al., 2013). Existing studies are to determine the effect of this radiation is

long-term. Data indicating danger relics to be comparatively limited (Davis et al. 2013).

Research suggesting radiation from cellphones presents a larger risk to human health than

initially assumed is increasing. Studies suggest that radio frequency waves from cellphones tend

to increase the amount of glucose in the human brain (Kesari et al., 2013). Consequently, this

results to inflammatory and infectious processes in the body. During these processes, reactive

oxygen radicals are likely to be produced which possess a damaging effect of altering the

working of genes and cells (Kesari et al., 2013). Without doubt, cell radiation has a substantial

effect on the human body. Although, studies on the negative impacts of the cell radiation are not

delineated and described accurately.

Cell radiation has been determined to impact the human body by altering a number of

human protein structure. A study by Davis et al. (2013) established that some human proteins,

when exposed to radiation from cell phones, underwent undesirable changes. The study entailed

an experiment whereby ten individuals whose forearms were exposed to direct radiation from

cell phones for an hour (Kesari et al., 2013). Even though there is a debate on whether the

changes in the protein is a danger, the outcomes show that the radiation does have a significant

effect on the body (Sansone, R.and Sansone L, 2013). A study shows that radio frequency wave

is likely to result in body tissue dysfunction like seepage through the shielding blood-brain

blockade as well as genetic impairment, such as intrusion with repair of deoxyribonucleic acid

(Kesari et al., 2013). Such biological impacts are likely to result in some disorders and conditions

including learning capacity of children and brain tumors.

Studies determine that most cell phones do radiate a high heat level to the brain, ear, and

eye. In extreme levels, this radiation may lead the destruction of tissues in these sensitive areas

(Nazıroğlu et al., 2013). For years, cell phone users have associated microwave ovens and cell

phones when deliberating the possible radiation dangers (Sansone, R. and Sansone, L., 2013).

Microwaves have been reasoned to be less hazardous since they are normally insulated

(Miyakoshi, 2013). Even though the microwave ovens possess extreme radiation levels the

energy they yield out is low and generally, they are not used that much (Nazıroğlu et al., 2013).

Conversely, cell phones are carried around by users nearly everywhere they go to. Additionally,

the cellphones are constantly on an operation, and they do not have any kind insulation (Davis et

al. 2013). Users who carry around their phones are constantly exposed to radiation from

transmission towers and cellphone signals.

The human body produces electrical pulses that are quite similar to those produced from

signals produced by antennas of cellphones. The result of this anomaly is a confusion on the

operation of the human body (Nazıroğlu et al., 2013). The body’s defense system may be

activated in this manner through biochemical changes. This, in turn, results to alteration of the

body’s physiology and may lead several biological issues (Davis et al. 2013). The problems

include radical buildup in the intracellular space, genetic impairment, interruption of intercellular

connections, upsurge tumors risks and seepage in the brain blood blockade (Nazıroğlu et al.,

2013). According to Miyakoshi (2013), radiation hazards is generally as a result of the

biochemical responses within the cell and not due to direct damage as frequently assumed. The

body is physically impacted by cell phones but not in a manner where cells which may be

cancerous are produced by the cellular heat (Sansone, R.and Sansone L, 2013). The radiation

from the cellphones works by spurring the human body’s natural mechanism of defense. The

resulting reactions expose the body to a higher risk of development of cancerous cells (Davis et

al. 2013).

Since cell phones have turned out to be an essential of the human existence their demand

is unceasingly increasing. New models of cell phones with are being produced which require

more power. This increase in power transforms into greater radiation emission. Technological

advancement in the cellphones is augmenting radiation levels emitted from phones such as the

wireless technology. There is the uncertainty of the perils of radiation from cellphones due to

inclusive research and data. Researchers estimate there will be certain of the impacts of the cell

phone radiation in more than a decade to come. This leaves a lifetime cell phone user relived

should receive the radiation from the cellphones determined to be harmless. However, should the

radiation exposure ascertain to be dangerous, then some individuals may ultimately suffer grave

consequences.
