LETTER OF REQUEST TO APPEAL

To the Office of Admissions,

I am Krystal Arianna Quijano Puzon, a PLMAT passer for the 2023-2024 academic
program of Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Although this educational program is my
second preferred choice, I request to appeal for my priority program, Bachelor of Science in
Psychology.

I studied at St. Joseph School of Pandacan during my junior high years and have been
fascinated in psychology since the 7th grade. Two of my aunts are psychologists, both working in
the corporate industry. However, I became much more interested in the clinical aspect of
psychology once I heard about it in some documentaries and in the books I have read. The
human mind, personalities, behaviors, and the different ways they can be observed and studied
have piqued my interest and have since become my passion. I pursued this passion and wanted
to learn at a prestigious educational institution that could cultivate my skills and expand my
curiosity about psychology.

I have honed my leadership, communication, and public relations skills for years by
joining multiple organizations, such as the school publication and the English club, where I had
officer positions and participated in extracurricular activities and contests. I continued doing
this until my senior high school years at Philippine Christian University, where I was the Grade
12 Representative of the Supreme Student Government while also being a Committee Head of
the Book Lovers Club. Throughout my six years of high school, I have maintained being at the
top of my class and even graduated With the Highest Honors last May 22, 2023.

By maintaining my academic and extracurricular record, I strived to prove myself worthy

of being a scholar in your university. My passion for psychology has been my drive and
motivation to achieve more. This passion grew even more when I studied psychological theories
in my 12th-grade personality development class. I have become even more fascinated by how
several factors can affect our psychological condition and how it can affect our overall lives.
Having the empathy and compassion a psychologist needs is even more challenging than we
thought, and I can acquire it by studying psychology at your institution. I desire to help those
who are troubled mentally and have a positive impact on their life. In psychology, I have
numerous opportunities to achieve this goal.

With this, I hope you allow me to attain my dream by leading me to a pathway to higher
education in your academic institution to study Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am grateful
for the opportunity you have given me, and I would like you to consider my request. I will be
immensely thankful for your consideration, no matter the outcome.
