Techfest Zonal Competition - Introduction & Format:

Techfest Zonal competition is a unique initiative by Techfest that involves the first stage of
four competitions being held at selected centres across India. The top 20 winners (5 from
each competition) from the centre will get direct entry to the Indian Final round. They will
compete against each other for the final Techfest Trophy in IIT Bombay. The Prize Money
for each competition is 1Lac+

Techfest Zonal Competition - Objective:

Techfest has aimed at promoting hands-on student learning in various disciplines year
after year. Techfest has always aimed to spread science and technology to more students.
This year, we aim to do the following:
● Increase quality participation and give the students a chance to compete with the
best of the best talents in the country
● Extend the Techfest platform for the holistic development of the students in all
technology fields, viz. electrical, mechanical and coding.
● Provide teams with a step-by-step approach to mastering a particular technology.

Techfest Zonals Workshops:

Techfest conducts workshops in various colleges before the zonal competition that aid
students in learning robotics that can help them in their engineering fields and explore
technology to their best extent.
We host a series of zonal competitions in cities featuring events such as the gripping bot
challenge 'Cozmo Clench' and the line follower challenge 'Meshmerize'. The top
participants from each zone advance to the Indian Final round held at IIT Bombay,
competing for the coveted Techfest Trophy.
