 Who we are…..
SAE International is a global society which sets standards for
materials and designs in automotive fields.

SAE IIT Roorkee, a collegiate chapter of SAE INDIA, affiliated to SAE

International, is a group of enthusiastic and self-motivated students
who thrive to pursue their interest in automobiles and related fields.
We came up in March 2000 as a very humble group and have grown
to have more than 300 members.

SAE conducts a lecture series in the autumn semester of every college

year. This is for revving up the heart of the students with the knowledge
of car mechanics.

Introduction to Automobiles Braking and Steering

Apart from lectures, SAE organizes workshops

encompassing mechanical models of the topics
covered in the lectures.

 INDUSTRIAL TRIPS
Every year, SAE arranges an industrial trip for making the
members aware about the product manufacturing process and its
assembly line. It also becomes a small get-together where all the
members have fun together apart from the educational purposes.
And these trips are fully funded!

automation where they learn and
work on the project under a mentor
who is also a 3rd year student.

end of projects.
