INTRODUCTION
1. What are the factors that affect the mental health of students?
2. How can we prevent these mental health problems?
According to Clearly (2011), the entrance to the university marks a period of transition for
people. Through this transition, studies, adjusting to the academic demands of an ill-structed
learning environment, and interacting with diverse range of new people.
In addition, many students must, often for this first time, leave their homes and distance
themselves from their support networks. These difficulties may have an impact on higher
education students' mental health and general wellbeing, claims Macaskill. There is proof that
students experience a burden on their mental health once they enrol in college, however this
pressure does seem to diminish as they progress through their studies. (Macaskill, 2013) (Mey
and Yin,2015).
According to Kessler (2017), the probabilities of experiencing common psychological
problems, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, increase throughout adolescence and reach a
pick in early adulthood.

but family problems are the most common factor that affect their mental health. Family

intense or frequent, to the point that it interrupts your day-to-day life. People used to
think or focus on positivity to prevent their mental health. There's also a lot of prevention
you can do for your mental health. You can open your problems or try to connect with
others. Avoid self-criticism and treat yourself with respect and care. Or extend your
horizons. Make time for your interests and favourite tasks. Try learning to play an
instrument, growing a garden, dancing, doing crossword puzzles every day, or learning a
foreign language well.
