Interviewer: 1.

pandemya? (What are the challenges you encountered as a homeschool teacher during pandemic?)

(I am a mother of three children and the problem is dividing the time between teaching my children who
are studying, taking care of them, teach them in their modules. Sometimes they will all call me at the
same time, then I will take care of my grade 1. Later on, the other one will also call because he's asking
for help in his lesson, so it's a bit tiring, especially sometimes they are asked to do something in the
module, right? There are times when my kids are asked to do a project or assignment wherein they need
my help in order for them to do it. I also found it difficult to go back and forth to their school to get and
pass their modules.)

Interviewer: 2. Paano mo nilalagpasan ang mga ganoong suliranin? (How do you overcome those
challenges?)

Kahit pagod edi kakayanin namin.

(I’m trying to cope for those kinds of situations. We have no choice because we want our children to
finish school. That’s why even when we are tired, we’re still handling it.

(Who do
you go to when you don’t know the lesson your children are studying?)

(I go to their cousins who are in a higher grade level. Sometimes, I ask them what are those lessons or
how to do it or sometimes I asked for their help in teaching my children when I have something to do,
that’s all.
Interviewer: 3. (How is
your life after you experiences those challenges?)

(Honestly, it’s hard, then stressful, exhausting, but I’m also getting used to such set-ups that I do every
day.)

(How do you
compare your life before and now that your responsibiltity has come to facilititate your children in
studying in Modular Learning?)

Ayun, sobrang
nakakapagod talaga.

(Before, my responsibilities are easier since they are teachers who teach my children their lessons in
school, they are the ones who give them their modules or tasks. Now, it’s more troublesome because
we are the one who actually teach our children everything. Then sometimes, I am not able to do
household chores. I usually wash our clothes in the evening, there are also times that I don’t have
enough sleep then I still need to clean our house. I need to wake up early to get ready for the day as well
as cook for my children. It is very tiring.
