1. System Description

The digital calling system is a state-of-the-art networked-based queue management system that provides
total customer service capabilities. It is the choice queue management system for any establishment in
finance, healthcare, government and commerce that provides services to waiting customers or clients.
The queue system shall incorporation of:

• Enhanced Functions
Many new queue functions are enhanced or added to provide for the ever increasing demand of
offering better service to waiting customers.
• Corporate Reports
Corporate reporting goes beyond accessing the queue systems at various branches. Corporate-
or enterprise-wide consolidation and analysis of data provide management an invaluable KPI
tool.

2. Equipment Specifications

The work in this specification shall include, but not limited to the following principle item of
equipment:
a) Calling Station
b) LCD Monitor
c) Ticket Printing Station
d) Power Supply Hub
e) PC Workstation c/w Printer
f) Voice Module c/w Box Speaker
g) Multimedia Display
h) Device Gateway

(a) Counter Terminal

The counter terminal shall be a desktop type that comes with LCD display. It shall be user friendly.
The counter terminal shall minimally comprise the following technical specification:

Display : 2 lines x 16 characters (Back light– Green)


Keys : Numeric (0– 9), 3 instruction switch, Next & Recall key
Casing : Beige moulded ABS plastic.
Interface : RS485/RJ45
Power : 2W
Display Port : Yes

(b) LCD TV Monitor

The LCD monitor shall be the new line of high resolution LCD TV that delivers the superior image
clarity for queue management applications. The monitor can work with a variety of advanced
features utilizing BNC, VGA or S-video connectivity. The LCD display shall minimally comprise
the following technical specification:

(c) Ticket Printing Station

The ticket printing station shall be a desktop type. It shall equip with line thermal printer with auto
cutter and paper end detector. The ticket printing station shall minimally comprise the following
technical specification:

(e) PC Workstation

The PC work station shall be used to monitor and control the activities of the transaction. The PC
Workstation shall minimally have the following specifications.

CPU : Intel Dual Core Processor 2.5GHz


OS : Windows 7
Memory : 2G (min)
Drivers : HDD 320GB or above, CD/DVD drive

(f) Voice Module

The voice module shall be a desktop type. It shall equip with audio amplifier, several languages and
a box speaker. The voice module shall minimally comprise the following technical specification:

Type : WAV
Select Language : Set from Web-based interface
Power : 12Vdc
Volume Contro l : Manual
Dimension : 255mm(L) x 160mm(W) x 80mm(H)
On/Off Switch : Manual
Interface : RS485

(g) Multimedia Display

Display multimedia contents at least shall be queue information at real time on LCD monitor, TV
channel and advertisement information. The queue information shall be display ticket number and
number of counter in 4 lines. The number is scrolled in from the bottom of the display. In other
words, the new number will occupy the bottom line, the previous numbers will be moved up one
line each, and thus the top and oldest line will disappear from the display. In order to emphasize the
new number, it is normally blinked for a while before it is turned into steady display. This
arrangement enables the display to call numbers quickly yet allowing sufficient time for the patient
to respond to the calls.

(h) Device Gateway

Device gateway is TCP/IP based, accessible from within the organization network. Interface
between the queue server and all the hardware. Each device gateway represents a department in the
queue system.

3. Software

3.1 Multimedia Software.


The software shall be of a licensed and able to display TV channels, advertisement and queue
information on the LCD monitor.

3.2 Queue Management Software.


The software shall be of a licensed and able for queue management system for each department.

3.3 Programmable Centralized Reporting Software.


The software shall be of a licensed and able to perform centralized daily, weekly, monthly and
yearly reporting queuing system for all departments as per requirements.

4. Wiring and Installation of Equipment

The audio and power cabling/wiring between the various items of digital calling system equipment
covered by this specification shall be supplied and install.

The following type of cable shall be used:-


a) Video signal : VGA cable complete with all necessary accessories.
b) Data cable : CAT 5E UTP cable complete with all necessary accessories.
c) Power cable : 1.5mm square PVC insulated PVC sheeted copper cable.
d) Single signal level/audio : 22 AWG polyethylene insulated, aluminum foil shielded, vinyl
jacketed and stranded tinned copper twisted pair cable come with
female XLR connector.

The specialist contractor shall furnish all equipment material, cables, conduits and accessories required
to effect the complete installation of the digital call system.
