Philippines Lacking people that got the covid vaccine: why should u get the vaccine

Why should u get the covid 19 vaccine? The Vaccine protects us from Covid 19 and some can also help
contain the spread of disease, saving around 2-3 million lives every year. Many of us receive these
vaccines, for diseases such as measles, meningitis and pneumonia, as routine childhood immunisations.
This has led to these diseases becoming less common, or even eliminated, in areas with high levels of
vaccination. Why u should trust the vaccine? Vaccines go through a rigorous process of testing before
they are used in the general population. Once researchers have found a promising candidate, they put it
through pre-clinical studies, usually testing it on animals to assess its safety and potential to prevent
disease.

Many Citizens of the Philippines are wary or don’t trust the vaccine. The vaccine itself does have a side
effect but its not up to the point that it has a huge impact on your health. The most commonly-reported
events with COVID-19 vaccines are expected vaccine side effects, such as headache, fatigue, muscle and
joint pain, fever and chills and pain at the site of injection. The occurrence of these adverse events is
consistent with what is already known about the vaccines from clinical trials. How the vaccine works is
the Vaccines mimic the virus or bacteria that causes disease and triggers the body’s creation of
antibodies. These antibodies will provide protection once a person is infected with the actual disease-
causing virus or bacteria. This is why u need the vaccine and it needs to be spread all across the country
so that we can help other people not just yourself just by taking a drug/vaccine.

How do u prevent the covid virus?

Maintain a safe distance from others (at least 1 metre), even if they don’t appear to be sick. Wear a mask
in public, especially indoors or when physical distancing is not possible. Choose open, well-ventilated
spaces over closed ones. Open a window if indoors. Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an
alcohol-based hand rub. Get vaccinated when it’s your turn. Follow local guidance about vaccination.
Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Stay home if
you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Call in
advance so your healthcare provider can direct you to the right health facility. This protects you, and
prevents the spread of viruses and other infections. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a safer, more reliable
way to build protection than getting sick with COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccination helps protect you by
creating an antibody response without you having to experience sickness, potentially including severe
illness.
