Statement of the Problem

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of University of Cebu

Students towards online learning for the senior high school students at S.Y. 2021-

2022.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What are the positive experience/s of Students during online class?

2. What are the negative experience/s of students during online class?

3. What kind of Coping Strategies does the students' practices?

Significance of the Study

The results of this study will be highly beneficial to the following entities:

High School Students. It will help them be more understood in the

hardships they have faced so far in the new normal and aid them in adapting to

the new normal.

Teachers. Help them better understand their student's situations and helps

them to be eager to learn and sympathize with their student's hardships. It also

allows them to create a better and easy to adapt learning plan for the students.

School Principal. By learning what hardships the high school students are

facing in the new normal, he/she can change and improve their ways of teaching

so it is more enticing for the students to learn in their school.

Parents. The Students overseer will be aware of the children’s health during

this online class and the limit of screen time and encourage their children to set

goals and time management.

School guidance counsellor. By knowing the situation faced by the

students, they can help them to cope up with the problems and to improve some

Students mental health.

Scope and Delimitation

This phenomenological study will focus on exploring the experiences of the

University of Cebu Senior High School Students toward online learning during the

second semester of the school year 2021-2022. In addition, this study will uncover

the positive and negative experiences of the students as well as their coping

strategies to help alleviate their negative experiences.

In addition, this study is for senior high school students regardless of their

gender provided that they are verified, senior high school students. They shall be

assessed through their school identification card or study load. However, senior

high school students that are not from the University of Cebu Senior High

Department will not take part in this study. Lastly, this study will be done through

online platforms because of the restrictions brought by coronavirus disease of

2019.
