Course Title : NSTP (LTS)
Units : 3 units
Requisite :

II. Course Description:


This course is designed to enhance the EMCI Education Students’
civic consciousness and defense preparedness by developing in them the
ethics of service, volunteerism and patriotism. It seeks to equip the
students for an effective and efficient national service.

III. Desired Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Demonstrate understanding of the National Service Training Program.


2. Identify the importance of a person’s ability and capacity.
3. Expound on the nature and philosophical values of a Filipino
4. Demonstrate characteristics of leadership and sense of teamwork.
5. Demonstrate basic first aid skills during emergency situations
6. Discuss motivational factors affecting learning.
7. Explain the different theories and principles on learning.
8. Explain the nature and aspects of learning process.
9. Express commitment to the prevention and fight against drug addiction.
10. Adopt the core values of volunteerism as one’s life principle through local
engagements

Please note that this spending allocation is determined in accordance with the Revised
Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 9163, also recognized as The
National Service Training Program Act of 2001, under RULE IV - Fees and Incentives. To
reiterate: NSTP FEES SHALL BE EXCLUSIVELY USE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NSTP LAW AND
OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM.
