This programme will be carried out throughout the year. It’s a programme is to enrich the pupils
with vocabulary. This programme is also included dictation for year 1,2,3, 4, 5 and 6. Head of
English Department had fixed every Sundays are the date for getting words and every Thursdays
are the date for spelling. Since the first day of this programme, it shows a good result among
pupils who keen to learn new words.

Programme Songs and Me
Report : Programme Songs and Me

This is a programme under HIP and with the combination of Head of English Department.
“Songs and Me” is the name of this programme. Every morning, students are listening to songs
and rhymes to improve their English language. This is a programme which successfully moving
on since March 2017 and it will be continuing until the end of this schooling year.

Programme ASAD
Report : Programme ASAW ( A Sentence A Week )

This ASAW programme will be carried out throughout the year. It’s one of the programmes under
HIP. It’s a programme to help the pupils to escape from “Near Miss Lulus”. HIP Committee had
fixed every week for the pupils to get the sentences from each class. Since the first day of this
programme, it shows a good result among pupils who dedicated to learn to write sentences. This
programme shows a very good improvement in the pupil’s sentence pattern.

This APAW programme also will be carried out throughout the year. It’s another programme under
English Department and HIP. It’s also a programme to help the pupils to escape from “Near Miss
Lulus”. Head of English Department had fixed everyday for the pupils to get the paragraph. Since
the first day of this programme, it shows an excellent result among pupils who committed to learn
short paragraphs. This programme shows a very good improvement in the pupil’s section C,
English paper 2 for UPSR examination.

This is a school level programme. It is also a part of Waves of English for this year. This
programme contains few activities which helps the pupils to learn English in a fun and enjoyable
way. Pass the magic word (whisper game), tongue twister competition, gathering words, tea break
and signature collection, treasure puzzle and world of English (booths for each English topics) are
the main activities on this full day programme. Pupils were very excited and enjoy these activities
and explore their knowledge on each topic in English. This programme also helps the pupils to
speak English. As a result it gives a positive attitude in learning English among pupils.

All the messages will be shared on every Thursday. This is a programme which successfully
moving on since Januari 2019 and it will be continuing until the end of this schooling year.

This is a programme under HIP and English Department. “Whatsapp” is the name of this
programme. Every morning, students are encouraged to reply to the Whatsapp ‘sent’ by teacher
and paste it on the board. This is a programme which successfully moving on since Januari 2019
and it will be continuing until the end of this schooling year.

The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is a programme introduced under the MBMMBI policy
that will improve the English proficiency of students through increased exposure to English. It also
aims to inculcate positive behaviours towards the learning and usage of the English language. HIP
is aligned with student aspirations highlighted in the Malaysia Education Blueprint (MEB) 2013-
2025 and supports five shifts of the MEB as follows:
1. Provide equal access to quality education of an international standard.
2. Ensure every child is proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language and is
encouraged to learn an additional language.
3. Develop values-driven Malaysians.
4. Establish partnership with parents, community and private sector.
5. Empower JPNs, PPDs and schools to customize solutions based on needs.
