schools teach us to be productive member of a

Family as an Agent of Socialization

Family is the primary source of our emotional


support. Family is where we acquire our specific

humans.

Peer Groups as Agents of Socialization

Peer Groups helps us to contribute to our


sense of belonging and our feelings of self worth.
It also helps us to earn our acceptance by meeting
the other group’s demands for a high level of
conformity to its own norms, attitudes,speech,
and dress codes.

Religion as Agent of Socialization

Religions teach us words of God and to do


good deeds . Also churches teach us to contain
specific messages and practices concerning the
nature of being a good human person.
Life Course as Agent of Socialization
Life course helps us to learn new set of rules
,roles, and relation by each time we experience a
change in status . Even before we enter a new
status, we often participate in anticipatory
socialization - the process by which knowledge
and skills are learned for future roles.
