AMET IGEN ENSAV CLUB

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME:
This programme creates awareness among the students about the benefit of
Renewable energy usage. To provide students a platform to learn about the energy
industry and employment opportunities in renewable energy sector. The purpose of
the Energy clubs is to enhance learning capacity of the students about the energy
issues like energy conservation, as well as efficient use of appliances and
electricity.
The inaugural session was held on 26th August 2023 at 10.30 am. The
welcome address was delivered by Dr. D. Lakshmi, Associate Professor, Dept. of
EEE. Our beloved HoD, Dr. V. Sridevi, Professor gave the inaugural address. The
chief guest address was delivered by Dr. L. Ramesh, President -The Institution of
Green Engineers. The special address was delivered by Dr. G. Pandian, Principal
Head-The Institution of Green Engineers. It’s our pleasure to have such an eminent
expert on this forum.
This will result in the establishment of 30 clubs by April 2023.With support from
dedicated student and staff volunteers, the club is focusing on creating awareness
about energy conservation and changing public attitudes towards the need of
conservation action. With the primary focus on SDG7 – affordable and clean
energy – all activities and events organized by the clubs will align with and focus
on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is mandatory that club
activities be planned and executed according to the IGEN ENSAVCLUB
TOOLKIT 2023.Throughout the year, the activities of the clubs will be monitored
by the IGEN ENSAVCLUB Organizers team and the STAR Rating outcomes will
be presented at the annual meeting of the IGEN ENSAVCLUB held every March.
