Popcorn Party Spelling Game Color

a spelling review game
Reviewing spelling words can be easy, exciting, and

delicious when you have a popcorn party!
This game works for students of all levels.
Assembly Instructions
1. Print out the game board and laminate if desired.
2. Gather two small tokens for game pieces.
3. Print and cut out the Word Cards that would be most helpful for review
purposes. (A selection of words from All About® Spelling Levels 1-7 are
included, along with a blank sheet for your own review words.)
How to Play
4. Begin by placing the tokens at “Start” on the game board.
5. Prepare a stack of Word Cards for each player. On each turn, one player
dictates a word from another player’s stack of Word Cards. The player must
then spell the word (out loud, on paper, or with letter tiles). If the word
is spelled correctly, the player may move ahead one space. If the word is
not spelled correctly, the player may be given clues to correct the spelling
(without moving ahead). The card is then moved to the bottom of the stack.
6. Play continues as each player progresses around the board. The first player to
reach the tub of popcorn is the winner! After everyone reaches the tub, you
may wish to celebrate with a big bowl of yummy, buttery popcorn.
