1. OBJECTIVE
To define the guidelines for Referral bonus (fee) under the employee referral scheme.

2. SCOPE
This policy is applicable to all permanent employees, with some exclusions as outlined below.

3. PROCESS AND RULES


3.1. Employees can refer individuals who match specifications provided in job descriptions for vacancies as shared
by HR from time to time. Should HR already possess the resume (available in the HR data bank), the
referrer will be notified, and no fee will be payable to the referrer under this scheme.
3.2. Referrals will be restricted to a maximum of 5 per employee, per role.
3.3. Referrals are required to be made via email to the designated HR contact, by completing the referral form
together with the candidate resume. HR will provide Referral forms on request.
3.4. All candidates in consideration for roles at BECIS (referred or otherwise) will be put through BECIS’ standard
hiring process.
3.5. Country Leadership, the Hiring Manager for the role and HR team members are not eligible for employee
referral fees (conflict of interest), although they are encouraged to refer candidates.
3.6. Employees are encouraged to refer candidates from within their professional and social networks, including
LinkedIn, etc.
3.7. Candidate referrals by forwarding CVs from CV databanks (Monster, etc.) will not qualify for a referral fee.

4. REFERRAL BONUS
Referral Fees are as follows:
• Tier 1 roles - USD 600 per successful referral
• Tier 2 roles - USD 300 per successful referral
Amount Definitions:
• Successful referral is where a referred candidate commences employment in the role
to which they have been referred.
• Tier 1 roles are those that directly report to Group or Country Leadership.
• Tier 2 roles refer to all other roles.

• Referral Bonus is only payable after the referred candidate completes 3 months
employment or passes probation, whichever is earlier.
Payment • Referring employee needs to be employed by BECIS at the time the referral fee
Timeline becomes payable.
• Referral fees are gross amounts, will be paid in local currency and subject to income
tax as per the laws of the country in which the referring employee is based.

5. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Referring Employees Refer candidates who best fit the specified job description
Human Resources Review candidates as part of BECIS’ standard hiring process
Interview panel Approve selection based on the interview

6. EXCEPTIONS
Any exceptions to this policy will require the approval of the HR.
