I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the Objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and
if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed
using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance
and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guide.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of the significant roles of artists from the regions.
B. Performance Standards The learner creates avenues to advocate the arts from the different regions.
C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives The learner:
Write the LC Code for each explains Filipino artists’ roles and identify their contribution to Contemporary Arts.

III. LEARNING RESOURCES List the materials to be used in different ways. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and learning. Ensure that there is a
mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

C. Presenting examples/instances of the (5 minutes) Formative Assessment: (Listing the learner’s answers)

ever told in Philippine Literature. The title of the short
story is “Footnote To Youth”. Jose Garcia Villa

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing (10 minutes) Teacher asks learners to get a ¼ sheet of Formative Assessment: Question and Answer Method

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing (10 minutes) Focused Group Discussion

Teacher divides the learners into five (5) groups.
(With 10 members for each group). The story will be
assigned for each group. Learners are to determine
the elements of a plot. (Teacher reminds them of their
lessons in previous/ present English subjects)
They will form then, a human pyramid.
Each group representative will be assigned to tell the
class the assigned part of plot: exposition, rising
action, climax, falling action/ denouement and
resolution.
F. Developing Mastery (Leads to Formative (10 minutes) Each group will present their outputs in Rubrics for Reporting
