WHY LOSE WEIGHT:


Losing weight is very essential for our bodies. Most people prefer to lose weight mostly
in order for them to have a smaller body since they might be uncomfortable with being
overweight. However,losing weight is more important to us especially health wise. Some
of the reasons why people should lose weight include:

 To reduce the chances of getting some diseases;


There are some diseases which are mostly linked with being overweight. For
instance obesity, diabetes and hypertension. These are serious diseases which can
easily lead to premature death. Individuals who manage to lose weight by ensuring
they have a medium-sized body have reduced their risks of the chronic diseases
associated with overweight.
 To boost our immune system of our bodies;
Losing weight also helps in improving our immune system of our body.This ensures
our body’s immune system is having the ability to fight minor infections in our
body like cold.Obesity which is as a result of being overweight can cause
inflammation in our body hence weakening our immune system making it harder
to fight various diseases in our body.
 To increase the life expectancy of an individual;
Research shows that people who are overweight have low life expectancy as
compared to those who have lose weight. This is because most of these people
who are overweight have been linked to chronic diseases and other health
conditions which makes them to have a lower life expectancy. Research has
approved this since it has discovered that there is a link between obesity and
premature death because of the complications which affect the body’s main organs
like heart.
 To have more Energy;
Losing weight has positive impacts to our energy levels. This is because having
more weight to carry around implies that you spend more Energy throughout the
day,making you more tired.However,when you have lose weight,you tend to use
less energy to get through tour day and you don’t get exhausted quickly.
 To improve our memory;
Another benefit of losing Weight is to improvement our memory. This is because
obesity may interfere with the normal functioning of the parts of the brain which
are associated with memory.
 To enhance better breathing;
People who are overweight usually have decreased lung volume hence their lungs
cannot hold as much air.If this happens ,they often experience shortness of
breath,wheezing or chest pains. Researchers have discovered that people with a
lower BMI tend to have a better lung capacity hence this proves that losing weight
can make breathing easier,whether you are working or doing your normal chores
at home.
 To reduce the need for medication;
People who are overweight are more likely to suffer from disease such as diabetes
and high blood pressure. Doctors usually prescribe medications for these diseases
instead of telling patients to change their lifestyles.It has been discovered that it is
possible to reverse these health conditions by losing weight through exercise
and health diet.Weight loss can result to discontinuation of blood pressure and
medication of people with high blood pressure.

 To enhance sleep quality;


Research has shown that there is a connection between obesity and poor sleep
quality. Poor sleep can lead to lower energy levels and increased fatigue. Losing
weight can reduce the risk of disorders that affect your sleep such as osteoarthritis.

 To increase sex drive;


Losing of weight can lead to more active sex life.Research has shown that weight
gain increase sex hormone-binding globulin levels in your blood. That means extra
weight may decrease your libido.

In conclusion,it is therefore necessary for individuals to lose weight since being


overweight is not good for our general health.It will be wise for people who are
overweight to start weight management through losing of weight for them to be
safe health wise.
