REFLECTION PAPER: NURSING RESEARCH IMPROVES CARE

As a nursing student, after I watched the video about how nursing research improves care, I clarified and
understood that the goal of nursing research is to improve the work of nurses and at the same time
improve the care of patients.

In the film, I also learned that it is possible to count the variables that can affect the insulin drip's rate
using technologies like computers and an alternative glucose check. In addition to the insulin drip, the
nurse also employed a computer and a manual insulin calculation drip to prevent errors, particularly
when she was pressed for time or in an emergency. nursing knowledge and practice plays a crucial role in
improving patient care across various healthcare settings. It is through the application of evidence-based
practices, specialized skills, and compassionate patient interactions that nurses contribute to enhancing
the overall quality of care.

In healthcare settings, nursing research acts as a catalyst for innovation and evidence-based practice.
Nurse researchers conduct thorough study and analysis to find insights that improve patient care.
Enhancing clinical decision-making is one of the major areas where nursing research has shown its
importance. Health care professionals, particularly nurses, are empowered to make decisions based on

find the nursing treatments that produce the best results for patients by methodically analyzing different

day transform medical care. Furthermore, ethical issues are crucial in nursing research since the rights
and wellbeing of patients must always come first. The delicate task of juggling the ethical obligations to
patients with the pursuit of knowledge is one that researchers must master.

The application of nursing research to clinical practice is its true purpose. It takes a concentrated effort
to alter ingrained norms and behaviors if research findings are to be incorporated into healthcare
providers' regular workflows. Knowledge translation is the process of effectively communicating research
findings and promoting a mindset of ongoing learning and adaptation. By supporting lifelong learning,
facilitating communication between researchers and clinicians, and fostering an environment where
evidence-based practices are accepted, nursing leadership plays a critical role in advancing this
