American game show The Million Second Quiz was presented by Ryan Seacrest (above) and aired by NBC

from September 9 through September 19, 2013. Participants attempted to win trivia matches for one million
seconds, and the four highest scorers then battled for the top prize of $2,000,000 in a stepladder playoff. The
Million Second Quiz was executive produced by David Hurwitz, Eli Holzman, and Stephen Lambert. The
program assisted in promoting NBC's television season 2013–2014 schedule. Every night of the competition,
NBC televised a live prime time show, including a two-hour finale, with the exception of Sunday Night
Football. Through a smartphone app, viewers could compete with others in the game and possibly win the
opportunity to participate as a participant.
