 How is communication defined in the video?

Information transmission, interpretation, and exchange. Through exchanging, it also

implies that there is more than one individual involved, as sender and receiver. Aside from that,
communication entails more than just crafting a message for the intended recipient; it also
entails recognizing and respecting the viewpoints expressed during the conversation; this is what
makes effective and good communication. In order to communicate effectively, messages should
be suitable, and responses should be courteous as well.

 What types of communication are mentioned? How do they differ? Cite example/s from the
video and from your own observations and experiences.

We can communicate efficiently both verbally and nonverbally. Nonverbal

communication involves relaying messages by body language or gestures, facial expressions,
emotions, and so on. This style of communication was acquired and used by humans before
verbal language was invented.
In today's world, there are numerous ways to communicate verbally; simple clicks can
send a message all the way around the world. This is due to highly sophisticated technologies
that are always growing, making regular activities like communication considerably simpler and
faster. Verbal language is obviously lot easier to understand; the message may be easily
understood with the appropriate use of words.
Language development in children begins with nonverbal noises and gestures, followed
by words and phrases (verbal). Acquisition of verbal language is simply and naturally acquired
in early children through natural development (language development), and they will be able to
communicate successfully both verbally and nonverbally.

 Answer the last question posed at the end of the video: “Do you consider the interaction with
a computer, [real] communication?” Justify your answer/s.

Yes, as previously said, communication entails the transmission and exchange of

information. The worldwide internet where various types of information are kept, are uploaded,
published and made by people themselves. The main difference is that the data found on the
internet is stored and available to be looked for, as opposed to a live dialogue or chat. It is no
different than a real-time information exchange; in fact, it is considerably faster and clearer.
Various reading resources, audiovisuals, and videos about any desired topic by its scholarly
owners can be found on the internet. However, the risk of deceptive advertising or a lack of fact
checking may have an impact on the results of the research, thus familiar and original sources
should be studied as much as possible.
 What can you surmise or infer about the nature and process of communication from the video
presentation and your past experiences?

Communication plays a similar and important role in people's lives. As said in the video
on the many modes of communication, I believe that not everyone understands they are
communicating. People become so accustomed to it that they frequently forgot the essential
methods and concepts to consider in order to become a positive communicator. I concluded from
the film that what makes the world evolve and revolve is human communication; communication
builds society and develops the various components of the globe as one unity and as individual
persons with personal relationships. Communication satisfies the continual requirement in life of
fulfilling curiosity and other similar wants.

Not only is communication important in global development, regardless of language

barriers, but it is also important in scientific fields, where people and nature ties are established
by comprehending communication despite the many levels of barriers.

 How can communication be beneficial to you, to your degree program, and to the field
you have chosen to traverse after graduation?
I personally strive to communicate properly at all times; oblique and passive aggressive
messages are usually not my thing. These things, nevertheless, are enviable as a human being
with many feelings. My personal relationships with my peers rely on good communication rather
than continual communication. I believe that true communication allows connections to be
effectively maintained and nurtured.
As a psychology student on the other hand, I learned that good communication is highly
important and is taken very seriously and carefully. A psychologist's primary goal is to learn
what is required to serve the client in order for them to be better. People on the spectrum with
their psychologist frequently seek self-understanding; these people frequently communicate
indirectly and are puzzled about a variety of issues. Aside from the years of training and
studying, true compassionate approach and understanding is also a very critical element in
understanding and communicating with the clients. It is the psychologist's responsibility to
effectively interpret the client's messages and body language. I believe the roles are very social,
thus excellent and healthy communication in this field is critical and should not be taken lightly.
