The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who

visited four different attractions in Brighton

The line chart demonstrates the proportion of foreigners to England who took a trip
to four separate tourist attractions in Brighton from 1980 to 2010.

It is clear that there was an upward trend in the proportion of tourists visiting
Pavilion and Pier over 3 decades, while the reverse was true for Art Gallery and
Festival.

Looking at the information in more detail, in 1980, only 10% of tourist to England
went to Pier, this figure rose from around 9% in 1990 to 22% in 2010. In addition,
the percentage visiting the Pavilion also increased, started at 24% in 1980 and
reached the peak of 48% in 1995. However, this figure then decreased significantly
to about 30% in 2010, which was three time higher than those visiting Pier.

As illustrated, in 1985, a similar figure for those visiting Pavilion and Festival was
recorded at 28%, and this showed a completely different picture that the figure for
tourist to Art Gallery was higher, at about 37%. From 1985 to 2010, while the
percentage visiting Art Gallery witnessed an ever- decreasing number of 30%, the
figure for those to Festival remained stable at 28%.
