The line graph illustrates the proportion of visitor to Scotland who paid a visit to 4

different landmarks including aquarium, castle, zoo and festival between 1980
and 2010.
It is obvious that while the percentages of travellers visiting Zoo and Castle saw an
upward trend, those of tourists who visited Aquarium and Festival experienced
the opposite trend. In addition, Castel was the most popular attraction during the
period.
In 1980, the propotion of tourists visitting Castle was at 20% while that of
travellers who visited Zoo was 10%, which was the lowest figures. After 15 years,
the percentage of holidaymakers witness a substantial growth and peaked at 45%
before gradually decline. At the same time, the figure for visitor to Zoo fluctuated
by 5% and stood at 20% in final year.
At beginning of this period, the proportions of travellers visiting Aquarium and
Castle were 20% and 30% respectively. That of tourists who visited Aquarium
reached a peak of 35% in 1985 then saw a dramatically drop. Along with that, the
gradually decrease was witnessed in the percentage of travellers visiting Castle.
