As a Filipino citizen, what are the simple yet purposeful acts that you can do to contribute for
the nation’s development? PROVIDE 2 WAYS for ten (10) points in four (4) to eight (8)
statements. *
One simple act I can do is to be vocal towards issues regarding the country, and I can do this by joining protests,
especially with issues that degrade people’s rights. Staying silent and neutral when you see that your brothers and sisters
are being maltreated is the same as siding with the abusers as you are enabling them, it’s time to open your eyes and be
vocal. Second is to help educate people who are still close minded and apathetic through healthy discussions regarding
the wellness of the country, including the people living in it. Educating will help in spreading awareness in what’s
happening to the country and the government, with due research from reliable sources of course. This for me is
meaningful, imagine correcting and changing even ones opinion towards an issue that they support when in fact that
issue mistreats the unable or marginalize them. A country filled with oppressors and abusers will not help in the
country’s progress or development, we have to do something.
