1. What product did you choose?

Crocs™ is the one that I am most interested in. Aside from how it is trending nowadays, I wanted to have
an idea of the things that this company experienced before attaining its popularity. Based on my research,
three seafarers named Lyndon Hanson, Scott Seamans, and George Boedecker had a conversation about
footwear that is comfortable and useful in their workplace, and at that time they were wearing clogs and
odor-resistant slippers called Foam Creations. Scott and Lyndon did not want the design of the footwear,
and they tended to disagree with making another product like the ones that they wear; however, those
were sold on their functionality. They licensed Foam Creations' foam resin technology, called it Croslite,
and developed the Crocs. Crocs later acquired Foam Creations in 2004

2. What materials are

needed to produce that
product?
According to what I have researched,
the materials that are used in producing
the product are foams, resins, and
rubber. Some call the material
"croslite". It contains a great impact-
absorbing resin substance that is
designed for the best comfort. The
closed cell is non-toxic, prevents odor,
prevents bacterial and fungal growth,
and provides the most comfort. The
product comes in different varieties of
colors and designs, and they also made
a collaboration with Jibbitz, which is the
one that is put on the holes of the
slippers to make them more attractive.
4. Where was this product produced?
Crocs footwear is manufactured in a variety of
countries, including China, Vietnam, Italy, and the
United States. Manufacturing facilities are located
in these countries, as well as others such as
Mexico and Brazil. Crocs employs approximately
3,000 people globally and annually manufactures
tens of millions of pairs of shoes. While the bulk of
Crocs shoes are manufactured in Asia, the firm
also has manufacturing sites in the United States
and Europe.
3. What do you think is the
procedure in making this
product?
In making the product, here are the things
that I think are the procedures:
1. Draw out the design and color that are
best for the consumers. And, given the
fact that we all have different kinds of
fashion, the producers might want to
think more about the best and trendiest
in the market.
2. Machines are used to divide the
components used in producing the
product. It’s similar to how other
footwear is also made; the only
difference is the materials.
3. After the division of the
components, the product is now in
the process of being drawn out.
They have this particular machine
that easily draws the particular
design of the slippers, and it is
being polished by the workers
inside the factory.
4. As I said earlier, even though the
machines make the product, it still
needs to be polished to see if it has any
damage or if the machine isn't able to
work properly.
5. Lastly, since the product is made out of
resin, foam, and rubber, it undergoes
monitoring to determine if it’s safe and
comfortable to use, and if it results in
success, then it is now being offered in
the marketplace.

5. How do you think the producers came up with the processes involved
in producing this product?’
Unfortunately, based on my research, I did not find out how the product is really made since it is confidential.
Although I have watched a video on YouTube and I don’t think that it is an accurate one, that is why all that
I’ve input on the procedures a while back was only on what I think of how they are being produced. But, to
answer the question, for me, the producers came up with the procedures to make it more organized so that
they could easily see if there was damage to the product and where it came from. In addition to that, machines
are used as it is more efficient and productive, especially since a lot of people have been supporting this
product and it is more convenient to allocate supplies in the market if it is being made immediately.

6. What decision had to be made to come up with these products?

The three friends, Lyndon, Scott, and George, took the decision, and they were initially
apprehensive due to the unattractive appearance of their product, but as I previously stated, there
are many people who appreciate it on the market because of its usefulness. There are many
people, especially workers, who are looking for something they can use 24/7 that is comfortable,
lightweight, and will not affect or cause any harm to their feet, and this is when Crocs were
offered. The collaboration of the identified founders of this product resulted in success as they
discovered the product, which offers many advantages in our daily use of footwear.
