Anne knocked on the door of the house, she was determined to find out who lived there.

A student of a prestigious university out in Kyoto, Japan. Anne originally came from the United
States in order to learn and experience the culture diffirence of the asian country. She had recently
moved into a house situated in a quiet little village. Being the kind girl that she is, Anne walked up
to a house hoping to greet her neigbours and introduce herself to them.

The doors swung open as an old woman comes out to greet Anne with a warm smile plastered on
her face. “Greetings ma’am, my name is Anne and I recently moved to the house nearby and
thought we could get to know each other better.” Anne tells the old woman. The elderly lady smiles
“Of course, come in.” as she ushers her to enter her home.

As Anne steps into the house a cold breeze passes by her right as the doors close. “Something
doesn’t feel right here.” Anne thinks to herself but brushes the thought off her mind as not to think
horribly of her new neighbour. “I’ll make us some tea, please be patient” The old woman remarks
as she slowly walks over to what Anne assumes is the kitchen.
Looking around the room there are pictures and trinkets that looks like they haven’t been moved for
a very long time.

Moments passed and Anne’s curiousity gets the better of her as she sat up and decides to get a
closer look on the things around the house. “That’s strange.” Anne questions herself “These pictures
of her looks like they were taken a very long time ago, how come does she look the same even until
now?” Already confused with this thought she keeps looking around and stumbles upon a long
corridor with a door at the end of it only being illuminated by a faint lamp.

Hoping to find answers regarding the old lady. She went down the hall. After a period of walking
she realizes the door has not been getting any closer and she turns around in confusion and tries to
find her way back. Suprisingly she finds nothing but the same corridor and the same door behind
her, She rushes towards it hoping for a way out. “I told you to be patient didn’t I?” The voice of the
old woman echoes throughout the halls. Anne can hear a laugh inside her head tormenting her every
step.

How long has it been? Days? Weeks? She doesn’t even notice that she hadn’t ate anything since she
entered the home yet is somehow still alive and healthy. Anne had given up trying to escape and the
voice of the old lady had gone away, being replaced by her own only to mock and mimic her. But
suddenly, a knock on the door startled her as she hurried for the door finally reaching it.

When she opens up the door, Anne sees that she is in a room presumably within the same house she
was trapped in. Standing up, she is greeted by a mirror on the desk. What Anne sees in the reflection
causes a sense of dread and panic to wash over her. Beyond the mirror was not her but the old
woman’s reflection. She had become the old lady and is forced to stay within the house unable to
leave.

Just then, a knock is heard coming from the front door. She picks herself up and prepare to answer
whoever has come to meet her. As she opens up the door, a young girl sits there saying that she had
recently moved into the house nearby. “Of course, come in.” Anne remarks and brings the girl into
the house. “Let me get us some tea, please be patient” She says before leaving the girl and her
curious mind in the room. Anne realizes in order to leave she must make the girl commit the same
mistakes she did. “The cycle must continue, I’m sorry.” Anne whispers to herself quietly.
