Thousands of children and adults spend the holidays in the hospital each year, battling cancer or other life threatening diseases. HOPE Ornaments visits hospitals throughout Illinois, visiting the patients and giving them their own HOPE Ornament to keep. HOPE Ornaments brings smiles to thousands of sick kids, a smile that makes all

the difference in their health struggles. Ornaments are now being collected. The ornaments are delivered to the hospitals throughout December. HOPE Ornaments donates to 28 Illinois hospitals and shelters. A complete list of hospitals is available by request or can be found on our Facebook page.

If you are able to help and donate ornaments we would love your help. Please feel free to reach out to other members of your office, schools, local churches & organizations for donations of store bought ornaments to give a child this holiday season. Due to infection control issues, we donate newly purchased ornaments, handmade ornaments and used ornaments in good condition. Please do not gift wrap your ornaments, all donated ornaments have to be checked for safety reasons. HOPE Ornaments will provide the appropriate gift wrap for your ornament that complies with the hospital guidelines.

Examples of ornamentsInfant Ornaments Babys First Christmas, Teddy Bears, Rocking horses, Snowman, Disney, etc. Kids Ornaments Barbie, Hannah Montana, Dora the Explorer, Nickelodeon, Disney, Superheroes, Sports, Ballerinas, Major League Sports, Looney Toons, Barney, Harry Potter, Zoo Animals and Pets, etc. Teen Ornaments Ornaments that include glitter, TV & Movie themes, Shopping, Girl items such as shoes and make-up, Major League Sports, Automobiles (boats, cars, trains, airplanes), Snowflakes, Twilight, etc. Adult & Senior Ornaments Angels, Snowflakes, Snowman, Stars, Dogs & Cats, etc.

HOPE Ornament T-Shirts and additional donation ideas
T-Shirts - Adult and children t-shirts are available for purchase. All profits from the sale of t-shirts will be donated to HOPE Ornaments. Adults sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL ($18.00). Children size XS, S, M, L and XL ($12.00). T-shirt order forms are available upon request. Handmade Ornaments Ornaments decorated with students in class, student councils, girl/boy scouts, book clubs, youth groups and friends. Work Collection Put out a box at work and have your co-workers each donate an ornament. Kids Ornaments - Party bags (clear) can be found at Party City and Wal-Mart. They are sold in packs of 15 and 20. Ribbon- Assorted colors for the gift wrapping of the ornament bags. Encourage other to donate- Join HOPE Ornaments on Facebook. Updates from HOPE Ornaments 2010


The 2010 HOPE Ornaments drive was a huge success! We were able to visit 28 hospitals and shelters. There were 5,123 ornaments donated! The 2010 Memory Books were emailed earlier this year. If you did not receive a copy of the Memory Book, please let us know and we can re-send you a copy. It is also available on the HOPE Ornaments Facebook page.
