1. Use a professional email address. Your Resume is

76% more likely to find itself in the trash bin if you do not
have a professional email address.

2. Write your experiences on the reverse.

3. Set your font size to 10-12 points
4. Align your texts to the left.

5. Use 'Verdana', 'Arial', 'Helvetica', or 'Arimo' font styles.

Never use 'Comic Sans', 'Papyrus', 'Curlz MT', or any
other inappropriate fonts. Use only 1 font throughout.

6. Only add jobs you've had for the last 5-10 years.

7. Set the top and bottom margins to 0.5" and the

side margins to 0.75".

8. Be mindful of the right format and inclusions for

skimming/scanning purposes. (Profile. Relevant

9. Give ample white spaces.
10. Name the file appropriately.

12. IF there is a long gap in between jobs, you should

either include a one-line explanation OR you may
choose not to put the dates of tenure.
13. Never put "References Available Upon Request".

14. Tailor your Resume to the job description.

Modify, if you want/can.
15. NEVER add trash. You can be the greatest
freelancer alive. But once you apply for SMM, NEVER
put in irrelevant work experiences as a Lead
Generator.
16. Submit as MS Docx. Not less than 400 words, ideally.
17. Do not use abbreviations.

18. If you are to write dates, write those in full in

this format: day-month-year

19. Observe the rules on capitalization, punctuations,

and syllabication.

20. Proofread. Proofdamnread! Check for spelling

and grammatical errors.

your Resume. Just do not forget that there are no
actual job posts to base it from.
