 INTRODUCTION

 The software of the autonomous vehicle still could not run complex computations that involve rapid change of data
to accurately simulate its surroundings
 Aside from the fact, one must take account of the act that the software is a pivotal component in an autonomous
vehicle despite having its limitation and the solutions that come with them, which are LiDAR’s capability, the
complexion of software architecture, managing decision-making of the vehicle, and pre-crash simulation.
 MAIN POINT 1:The limitation of LiDAR

 However, LiDAR has its own limitations in terms of the extent of its capability to detect and range distance,
which rely on multiple factors that can be categorized into two categories which are external and internal
factors .
 In a setting where there is an abrupt change of weather, the software would have to restart the data computation
since the data is inconsistent.
 The failure to execute the commands in the data would affect how the autonomous vehicle perceives its surroundings.

 MAIN POINT 2: Complexion of Software Architecture

 Software has a hierarchy system that is based on the difficulty of the tasks that it is handling.

 It will always have drawbacks despite how good it is and engineer need to think of the solutions.

 MAIN POINT 3:Strategy to manage uncertainties in decision-making of autonomous vehicle

 Autonomous industry must implement the use of Online model identification in Autonomous vehicle as its function
is to record and track any changes that occurs on the vehicle and its surrounding.
 Autonomous vehicles are using sensors and cameras as its main source to record and sense its surrounding.

 Autonomous vehicles were made sure that it was road-ready in their production by testing its software.

 MAIN POINT 4: Pre-crash simulation in autonomous vehicle

 Everything that were built in this world will have that one rule which is a common rule that must be highlighted
and that is safety
 Autonomous Vehicle is one of the examples that is difficult to ensure its safety because it has advance technology,
progressive software and complicated to create
 CONCLUSION:

 As discussed above, the simulation software does have its own limitations that can be tackled with proper
solutions.
 It is known that the simulation software in autonomous vehicles has its downsides such as LiDAR’s limitation and
the complex structure of the software, but these two issues can be easily solved by implementing online method
identification method and a pre-crash simulation in the program.
MAIN POINT 1: LIMITATION OF LIDAR
Topic sentence: LiDAR has its own limitations in terms of the extent of its capability to detect and
range distance, which rely on multiple factors that can be categorized into two categories: external
and internal factors.
Supporting sentence: The main limitation of LiDAR is its coverage range; It defeats the only purpose
of autonomous vehicles: travelling (Hussain and Zeadally, 2019).
Supporting sentence: In addition, sensory device such as LiDAR relies on the functionality of the
radar (Hussain and Zeadally, 2019).
Supporting sentence: There has been an evidence that glitch happens due to any changes made during
the data computation in the simulation (Goodman, 2020).
Supporting sentence: In a setting where there is an abrupt change of weather, the software would
have to restart the data computation since the data is inconsistent (Goodman, 2020).
Opinion: Albeit the implementation of LiDAR is imperfect in its current form, automotive industry still
insists to utilise LiDAR in most of the autonomous vehicles. These noticable limitations of LiDAR would affect
the software of the autonomous vehcles, and consequently, its performance on the road.
