The researchers are currently conducting a research titled “OH! MY JEEP: AN

ANALYSIS OF THE PERCEPTIONS OF JEEPNEY MODERNIZATION”. This study
aims to examine the various perspectives of jeepney drivers particularly to the issue about
jeepney modernization, to be able to understand their own point of views on how jeepney
modernization will affect them and what are the possible alternative strategies they will do
when this program is already implemented . This study is in partial fulfilment of the
requirements for the subjects Practical Research 1.

In this regard, the researchers have chosen you as one of the evaluators of the
instruments of their study because of your expertise and experience doing research.

o We are conducting a research study about your perceptions as a jeepney
drivers. We aimed to know your opinions and gain knowledge from your
perspectives.

o For this research study, we will be asking questions about your thoughts,
opinions, and your feelings about jeepney modernization. We want you to be
as open and honest when answering and tell us what you like and dislike us to
do when we visit your homes.
- Confidentiality
o All information collected during the course of this research study will be kept

o We will conduct a thorough interview with either video or audio recording,

JEEPNEY MODERNIZATION The study is a major requirement for Practical Research 1
Course. In this regard, we would like to solicit your permission to interview you to learn
more about your own point of views in upcoming jeepney modernization program.
If you choose to participate in this study, we will schedule a time to meet with you at
your most convenient time. During this time, we would like to ask questions about your
perceptions, thoughts, and feelings about jeepney modernization. This interview will take
approximately 1-2 hours . With your permission, we would like to audiotape the interview in
order to focus on the conversation. Only the group will have access to the tape. The
recordings will be transcribed and we will remove any identifiers during the transcription.
The tape will then be erased and your identity will be kept confidential and will not be
revealed in the final manuscript.
