 Good afternoon everyone, this is group 2.

We’re gonna be having 3 power

point presentation one would be defining arist and aristan the second one
would be the national arist of the Philippines and lastly the Gawad sa
manlilikha ng bayan
 So to start our presentation may I call ms Kristel cruzado to define and give
an example of an arist

 So remember an artisan is someone who make something with their hands

or works with their hands. Whatever the artisan makes or does has
practical and functional purpose. This includes various objects ranging from
jewellery (joolree) to furniture. An artisan should not be confused with an
artist because there is a clear difference in the things that they create. An
artisan is able to produce something that has a functional value; although it
should not be limited to its use value alone. However, it must be stressed
that there are cases where the objects created by an artisan has only
decorative value.

 So what object it is? And in what way that it only has decorative value but
still created by artisan? That’s the question
 Here I have here a pair earings, do you think this is functional or just a
decorative?
 so you gonna have second thought wheather this is made by artist or
artisan.
 Like what I said earlier that one of object or craft included in aritsan was
joolree or accessories. Therefore This pair of earings is made by artisan. But
how comes?
 came to think of it this item we always use it in daily life to what? Obviously
to make our look, or outfits more elevated that usuall so in some way it is
still have purpose or have a practical use but at the same time and
sometimes it only has decorative value.
 Here are some example of artisan
 So that’s it for artisan, now lets now proceed in the 2nd power point which is
national arist in the Philippines may I call mr. tapas to present the next
topic.
