RATIONALE:
DepEd Order No. 8, s 2015, and DepEd Memorandum Order No. 106, s 2015,

respectively, these guidelines aim to uphold the Department of Education mandate under the

Magna Carta for Public School Teacher (Republic Act 4670) to promote and improve public

school teachers’ employment and career opportunities as well as to attract more people with

professional qualifications.

In connection to this the Department of Education through the Bureau of Education

Assessment shall administer English Proficiency Test (EPT) for teacher applicants nationwide as

one of the requirements for hiring. The Division of Davao de Oro will administer the EPT exam

and one of the venue sites chosen is the Monkayo National High School-Senior High Campus.

There are one hundred eighty (180) expected teacher applicants taking the English Proficiency
Exam at MNHS-SHS campus. Preparations for logistics and other materials are needed for the

readiness of the school for the said event. Thus, this training activity is proposed.

OBJECTIVES:
This activity aims to:
1. Administer the English Proficiency Exam to teacher applicants.
2. Measure the English Proficiency level of teacher applicants through their exam results.
3. Foster a conducive environment for teacher applicants and room examiners during the EPT
Exam.

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS:
A. Number of participants: 16 (proctors, room examiners, crowd control, electrical, school
heads, division officers)
B. Duration: 2 days (March 22-23, 2023)
C. Estimated Cost: 16, 640.00
