English Proficiency

- English Language Proficiency is the ability of Students to use the

English language to make and communicate meaning in spoken and written
contexts while completing their program of study.

“Taglish”

- Taglish is the combination of Tagalog and English, both in name and in

substance. It is the name given to the phenomenon where the two
languages are combined into one sentence in everyday speech. It is also
common to see in writing too. Many Filipinos speak "Taglish" because it is
easier and many English words and expressions are accepted in the Filipino
language.

“Text Lingo”

- Text language consists of the abbreviations and slang often used in

texting and some other internet-based conversations, such as casual
messaging through Facebook and other applications. Some of the most
commonly used abbreviations are (LOL = laugh out loud, BRB = be right
back, BTW = by the way, ILY = I love you, OMG = oh my god, and etc.)

Quality education

- For me, A high-quality education equips all students with the skills they
need to be economically productive, create sustainable livelihoods,
contribute to societies that are peaceful and democratic, and improve
individual well being.

Language Deterioration

- We wouldn't be able to communicate with or understand others without this

network. Aphasia refers to the loss or deterioration of language and
communication abilities. This is an acquired language disorder that impairs
a person's capacity for language production and comprehension. Job
enabling in a competitive world.

Globally competitive

For me, Globally competent people are lifelong learners who are aware of
these issues, appreciate cultural diversity, have the capacity to comprehend
and take into account multiple points of view, are skilled at problem-solving
and critical and comparative thinking, and are at ease with ambiguity and
change.

Job Enabling

The Job Enabling English Proficiency (JEEP) program offers instruction

created especially for interactive computer-based study. The program aims
to boost students' English proficiency and help them become more
employable. The JEEP program aids the students in developing interview
skills that make them seem intelligent, knowledgeable, and able to
communicate clearly in English. Instead of teaching the language to
students, it is actually used in real-world work settings.

Silence your Inner Critic

- Your inner critic is the voice in your head that tells you what you've
done incorrectly. It can sometimes help you avoid bad decisions, but most
of the time it just destroys your self-esteem. The good news is that you are
completely in charge of your inner critic. We're here to assist you in
regaining control.

Make sense of your past

- According to research, when people fail to make sense of their past,

they end up reliving and recreating it, essentially reliving old hurts over and
over again. According to attachment research, making sense of the past is
the best predictor of our ability to shape our future.

True Career

- We grow up dreaming of what we’d like to be when we grow up, Others

choose a path they’ve dreamed of for years. It’s important to understand it’s
a process that might take time to figure out. But, you can start by exploring
your childhood dreams and current passions and then think of other life
goals you might have – from monetary goals to family goals, through
work-life balance goals all the way to the legacy you’d like to leave in the
world.

Life Balance

- The term "balance" refers to the distribution of things in your life. It

entails making time for school, work, family, and community. Work-life
balance is the state where a person chooses to equally prioritize the
demands of work and career and the demands of their personal life. An
individual who lacks this balance has more work and home obligations,
works longer hours, and lacks personal time.

Instruction: Differentiate Self Understanding versus Self Indulgence.

Self-Understanding what your motives are when you act is called
self-understanding. It is often linked to self-concept. For example, Louisa's
love of nature and being outdoors is closely linked to her self-concept.
When she is stuck indoors all day, she gets restless and annoyed. The
meaning of understanding the self is having insight into one's own behavior,
attitudes, strengths, and weakness. It is the individual's ability to say and
know what he or she is good at or needs improvement. Self understanding
is one of the highest goals in psychology. While, Self Indulgence is the act
of allowing yourself to have or do anything that you enjoy: Rarely have
I seen two people work together so effortlessly and with so little
self-indulgence.

Who you are matters especially as it relates to your career. In fact, the
things you have done, the places you have gone, your family, friends, and
community all matter. Knowing what’s important to you is central to your
career journey you need to better understand your interests, values,
strengths, and skills and how they relate to meaningful work and the life you
want to lead. Begin with you! You know yourself best, a deepened sense of
self-awareness can help you clarify your goals and more effectively
navigate your career.
Self-awareness is an important part of career development because it
forces you to look at yourself objectively and make adjustments. Examining
your strengths, weaknesses, accomplishments, and failures from the past
term can help you to move forward with reenergized goals, fresh career
objectives, and improved strategies.
Understanding yourself and the person you are becoming is essential
to building your career and moving in a direction that feels right for you.
Self-awareness will not only help you to identify areas of interest in your
career exploration, it will also put you in an advantageous position to
present your strengths to prospective employers confidently. At the end of
the day, you are the expert of your own life, so cultivating self-awareness
will help you align your behaviour with your values leading to a greater
sense of clarity, purpose, and success.
