Celebrating St. Mary’s College, St. Lucia 131st Anniversary 1890 - 2021

Dear Parents / Guardians

Our athletics season at St. Mary’s College has reached an advanced stage. We take this opportunity
to thank parents / guardians for their support during this time. As you may be aware, the athletics
meet is a significant part of our school’s culture and the development of our young men.

The next major events are the Swim Meet, Sports Meet and Cake Day. Please see the guidance for
each event.

1. Swim Meet – March 21, 2022: It will be held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre from 9:30
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Only swimmers will be allowed into the Aquatic Centre. Students of forms
one to four are required to remain home. Form five students who have Pre- CXC Examinations
are required to report to the school for their examinations.

2. Sports Meet – March 23, 2022: The event will take place at the Darren Sammy Cricket
Stadium commencing at 9:30 a.m. The event will be live streamed. All athletes and selected
students with consent from their parents will be allowed on the field. All other students should
view the activity from home.

3. Cake Day – April 5, 2022: Cake Day is the culminating activity for our athletic season.
Students will be asked to contribute cakes for sharing. Cakes can be decorated in their house
colours. Specific requests will emanate from the various housemasters.
