1.2 Slide Show
Foreword: This chapter describes how you can create your slide show presenting on Fluorostar.
For these function is Software Revision 2 or above necessary.
The slideshow is picture based and can show automatically picture by picture (time
controlled) or by pushing button.

Note From Software Rev 02.05.18 onwards both main monitors are supported (before
slideshow only shown on touch and monitor A)

1.2.1 Picture Formats, Folders

You can show different pictures on touch and on monitor A and monitor B. The pictures, which
you want to show, must have following specifications:

Touch screen Monitor A Monitor B Video Out

Picture Format Jpg Jpg Jpg Jpg
Size 640 x 480 1280 x 1024 1280 x 1024 1024 x 768
Orientation Landscape Landscape Landscape Landscape
Colors 24 bit color or 8 bit grayscale 8 bit grayscale 8 bit grayscale

Name Ending with Ending with Ending with „_B“ Ending with „_V“
conventions „_D“ „_A“
Remark From From
Rev02.05.18onwards Rev02.05.18onwards

Remark: Monitor B is only available on Compact with double monitor or C-arm with MC5. If on
the system is a single monitor only available there is no need to have files for monitor
B. On the other hand, the system ignores files with ending „_B“ on single monitor
systems.
Remark: Be careful, the file names are case sensitive. Target system is a LINUX system!

To create a new slideshow, follow this procedure:

1. Use your USB-stick. It must be formatted with FAT. Connect it to your PC.

2. Create a folder „slideshow“ on top level.

3. Below this level, create folders with the name of the slideshows (e.g. Slideshow_01,
Slideshow_02 …). These names will later be shown as names for selecting the slideshows.

4. Create in each of the subfolders a folder called „pictures“

In the end, you will have a structure like this:
\slideshow \slideshow_01
\pictures
\slideshow_02
\pictures
\slideshow_03
\pictures

5. Put your jpg images in the „picture“ folder of the slideshow you want.
Remark: the endings of the image names „_D“, „_A“ and „_B“ decide on which monitor this

5 of 25
file will be shown. If you want a picture to change on all monitors in one step the name
must be identical except the ending (e.g. picture_01_D; picture_01_A; picture_01_B)

The folder may now contain files like these:

Slide1_D.jpg With these 4 pictures the slideshow starts

Slide1_A.jpg
Slide1_B.jpg
Slide1_V.jpg
Slide2_D.jpg All 4 monitors change to these pictures
Slide2_A.jpg
Slide2_B.jpg
Slide2_V.jpg
Slide3_D.jpg Only touch screen will change the picture, monitor A and B still
show Slide2_A and Slide_B
Slide4_D.jpg 3 monitors change to these pictures
Slide4_A.jpg
Slide4_B.jpg
Slide5_A.jpg Monitor A and B change, touch screen still shows Slide4_D
Slide5_B.jpg

6. Create in the folder of your slideshow e.g. „slideshow_1“ a text file with name
„slideshow_setup“ (without extension). Use for this any text editor, e.g. WordPad (from
Windows).

7. Type in the first line in [ ] the folder name of the slide show.
Type in the next rows „PIC_001=„ and then the filename without the „_D“, „_A“, „_B“ and
„_V” extension. See following example:

[slideshow_01]
PIC_001=Slide1.JPG
PIC_002=Slide2.JPG
PIC_003=Slide3.JPG
PIC_004=Slide4.JPG
PIC_005=Slide5.JPG
PIC_006=Slide6.JPG
PIC_007=Slide7.JPG
PIC_008=Slide8.JPG
PIC_009=Slide9.JPG

8. Connect USB to Fluorostar

9. Go to the menu Slideshow.

10. Select „ADD“ from the menu

11. Now you can select your created slideshow and mark it as active
