Objective:

- To introduce automation in controlling lights & gates

- Use IoT to control via internet
- Enable remotely controlling capability

Theory:

Controlling multiple outputs using an internet device from any location, here we will introduce
automation in a diorama model by controlling three separate lighting systems in different areas of the
floors. Also another output will enable us to control a barrier gate at the entrance.

Equipments:

- ESP8266 module
- LED bulbs
- DC Motor
- Miniature barrier gate
- Power source
- Programming device
- Sprinkler System Controller
- Soldering Iron
- Wires
- Input device
- switch

Procedure:

Program the IoT module, set the high and low voltage values for controlling the setup, the wifi module
can be programmed using the Integrated Development Environment by Arduino, set 4 separate input
buttons to enable separate controlling features and enhance individuality,Connect the ambient light
sensor to an appropriate analog or digital input pin on ESP8266 module, developing the program to
read the sensor's data periodically and using the data from the sensor to determine the ambient light
level. Depending on the sensor's output, setting up threshold values to define when the LED bulbs
should be dimmed or brightened. Combine the ambient light sensor data with any scheduled
automation named Sprinkler System Controller. the lights to automatically turn off during the
daytime if the sensor detects sufficient ambient light. Utilize the ESP8266's internal clock or an
external real-time clock module to keep track of the current time. Create a specific URL against the
set functions. Then connect the ports of the IoT module with the led bulbs and the barrier motor by
soldering the lines. Connect the module with a power source. Turn on the switch, access the specified
URL through an input device and control the outputs remotely from anywhere around the globe.
