Interviewer: Good morning, and welcome to your visa interview. Can you please introduce
yourself and state the purpose of your trip to our country?
Interviewee: Good morning. My name is John and the purpose of my trip is to attend a
conference being held in Canada next month.
Interviewer: Thank you for the introduction, John. Can you please tell me more about the
conference and why you have chosen your destination?
Interviewee: Yes, the conference is on the latest innovations within my field of work, and I
believe it will be a great opportunity for me to meet other professionals, share knowledge, and
learn new skills. I have chosen Canada because it is renowned for the expertise in this area, and I
believe that attending this conference will help me enhance my skills and build professional
networks.
Interviewer: That sounds like a great opportunity for you. Can you tell me more about your job
and how it relates to the conference?
Interviewee: Yes, I have previously attended international conferences that were organized
globally and I found them to be extremely useful.
Interviewer: That's impressive. Can you tell me more about your itinerary, such as where you
will be staying and for how long will you remain in the country?
Interviewee: I will be staying at the Marriott hotel, which is next to the conference center. I will
arrive two days before the conference and I will stay for three days after the conference before
returning back home.
Interviewer: Thank you for providing me with that information. May I please take a look at your
documentation, such as your passport, visa application, and transport itinerary of your flight
ticket?
Interviewee: Yes, I just wanted to confirm that I will be able to extend my visa if I need to stay
longer for the conference.
Interviewer: Yes, we do allow extensions. But please note that you must apply for them in
advance and provide us with a valid reason for your extended stay. However, for this, you will
have to visit the immigration office and apply for an extension.
Interviewer: You're welcome. Thank you for your time, John. Your application will be reviewed
and processed, and you will be notified of the final decision within two weeks.
Interviewee: Thank you very much for your time and assistance. Have a great day!
