Summary
Public Policy Max Wong joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic
ESG Service Corps (PTD) in 2005. He was initially assigned to the
Sustainability Ministry of Health, where he played a vital role in establishing the
Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), a federal agency
Languages dedicated to promoting the country's thriving medical tourism
English (Full Professional) industry. In 2015, Max Wong was transferred to the Ministry of
Mandarin (Native or Bilingual) International Trade and Industry (MITI) to oversee emerging ESG
Malay (Full Professional) issues such as labor, climate change, and energy. During this time,
Cantonese (Native or Bilingual) he also served as one of the official negotiators representing the
Japanese (Elementary) country at the UN Climate Change Conference. In 2020, Max Wong
was awarded the prestigious HLP scholarship by the Government of
Certifications Malaysia to pursue a full-time doctoral program in the field of SDG/
Carbon Market Fundamentals ESG. Upon graduation, he is expected to resume his responsibilities
ESG Integration & Financial Analysis in the service.
