 EPU is an agency that plans national economic
development.

 It is divided into 2 main division, which is Macro


Planning Division and Sectoral Planning Division.

 In general, EPU is responsible for the identification,


implementation, coordination, and evaluation of
various public development programs and projects,
such as building of basic roads, ensuring sufficient
supply of water and electricity to the rural areas, and
construction of other basic infrastructure for the
public.

 ICU is responsible for the coordination and


implementation of various governmental
programs and policies, such as the Look East
Policy, Privatization, Malaysia Incorporated
Policy, and New Economic Policy (NEP).

 ICU is the“implementer” for Majlis Tindakan


Negara (MTN) and responsible to operate Bilik
Gerakan Negara.
